I've ran into this same problem...I really don't know what causes it. The 2 games are Zelda - Minish Cap (which happens to be a bootleg) and Castlevania - Circle of the Moon which is a legitimate Nintendo cartridge. The Zelda I can't fix, but with COTM I've found that when I play it on DS then select Name Change instead of Load Game, then cancel the name change, the files are there. Well, point is that when I saved all the files on COTM they were on a GBA, then I tried them on DS and they deleted.

More specifically, when I first bought COTM it was a used game and at first didn't hold a save after I saved in the game. Although COTM is one of the few GBA games that utilizes a battery save instead of SRAM, I don't know off-hand if this is the case for the games you've specified. So what you can try is cleaning the games with a cotton swab; get it wet then press the water out of it into a tissue so that it's damp but has no water that will be secluded Edit - *secreted (wrong word, anyways>) by pressure. Clean the teeth of the cartridge with the damp side, then dry them with the dry side of the cotton swab.

If that fails, play another game on your DS until the battery is low, then put into the DS the game that won't save, and plug in the charger. After its fully charged play the game without removing the charger, then try to save and see if the save remains.

I had the same problem too with Pokemon Sapphire. It would delete my file when I put it in the DS. This has happened to me twice and it gets annoying. I am not sure dude, sorry.
