Hello everyone. I've been taking my sleepless night to think about some things. I'm a little upset over some things that has gone on, on this site. However, I can't do anything about that. I've complained about it to the "right" people and nothing has come of it so far. I feel there are a lot of injustices. But, I'm only one person and I can't change the entire world. It's just not physically possible.

However, I feel that I may post from time to time just to keep in touch with everyone. I know, I've stated I was leaving completely. But someone told me something tonight and I feel that if I leave, the ones who want to drive me from this site will feel they've won. Even though this is not a win/lose situation. So I've decided to leave the chat room. I remember that I always enjoyed my stay on this site when I stuck to the RGR and the forums. So I will do just that. I will no longer be participating in the chat rooms though. Too many fights go on in there and a lot of rule breaking takes place, and unfortunately there are only a few select moderators that actually enforce the rules without biased. Anyway, I still won't be on here as much as I used to be, but when the occasion calls for it, I will post in the forums and play the games on this site. Why should I let a few cruel people drive me from something that gives me relaxation. And for those of you who know me, I can use all the relaxation I can get.

Whenever I come online, I come to escape the day to day problems. I want to eliminate the causes of stress in my life, and I will find ways to work around getting rid of the problem while I keep on doing the things I love. So therefore, I will stay on the site, but not in the chat rooms. That's all I have to say about the matter right now. So take care all.

Though I don't know you well, nor don't know whats going on. It's none of my business to ask either, but I'm happy that you are staying. Yes, some people can be cruel and you are a strong woman to not run away just because some people wants to cyber bully and cause you problems. This is a place to get away from the stress in the real world. A place where you can relax and chat with true friends and play the games to get your mind off the stress. I don't want to take up too much of your time, but I'm glad you are staying and would like to get to know you better as a friend. It warms my heart to see strong individuals that doesn't get pushed aside just because of cruel people. I'm going to call it a night. Good night SunflowerGaming. Have a good night.

It is the nature of chat rooms, which is why I never bother to go on them in the first place. I get my fair share of frustration from the board itself... but I let them drive me away once, no one is going to succeed in doing it a second time. Good for you in standing your ground.

I'm going to assume at least part of this thread is directed at me. I think that is a safe assumption to make.

And I'll make one very simple statement. If I wanted to drive you from this website I could do it in one swift stroke. If you think I'm trying to get you to leave you're mistaken. My job on this website is to do my best to maintain order. From your point of view I (and other possibly) aren't doing this fairly. Nearly everyone who gets punished by the mods on this site feel the same way. It's not new or unexpected. It's a fact of life. You get punished and you feel like everyone should be punished the exact same way for what you view as the exact same crime. There are more factors to if and when people get punished than the crime itself.

Tough thing is the rules here aren't all set in stone and enforcement of them is handled by multiple people. There are going to be inconsistencies and bias. Your approach to the inconsistencies could have been done better. You and I have had very civil conversations and we've had very uncivil conversations. And what you may see as bias from my point of view is actually me responding to other people's complaints about users.

As a mod I get asked privately to help handle a situation. Someone will come to me and say that there is a problem in the chat room. I show up and try to assess the situation. I watch what goes on and evaluate who seems to be causing trouble and act accordingly. Quite often I pick the person making the most noise. That person may not have "started it" but they certainly aren't helping the situation. However, most of the time I do nothing. My presence in the chat room quite often diffuses situations on its own. I also find it is the same people who are at the center of a lot of the controversy in the chat rooms. I have less patience for those people.


Now, about this issue you have with being "controlled" let me spell it out for you. This site is outside any realm of "freedom of speech" or "freedom of action". There are rules both written and unwritten. One of the unwritten rules is: "If a mod asks you to stop doing something you need to listen to the mod." That doesn't mean questioning the mod or talking back, it means stopping. If you don't understand or disagree then try to privately state that. Mods are quite reasonable when approached respectfully. This isn't a matter of trying to completely control you or force you to do things you don't want to do. This is about controlling what goes on at Vizzed.

Oh, and about this: "I've complained about it to the "right" people and nothing has come of it so far." I'm pretty much the right person to complain to. David isn't going to get involved because he doesn't know what's going on and is too busy to deal with it. I'm 2nd in command at Vizzed. If you have an issue then I'm the one to talk to. If you don't think we can have a civil conversation and work this out fairly then speak to one of the other globals privately (don't pm the global mod inbox) and they can help figure things out.

I think that's about all I want to say about this right now.

SunflowerGaming : At the same time though, speaking as a former mod here and a mod on other boards, I do want to point out that what Geeogree said just now is 100% true and I encourage you to try and work things out once you cool down. Other than that, the drama is coming from the chat, so just avoid the chat and enjoy the board and the games.

Well I'm glad to see your not completely leaving, it's funny though I use the drama of the chat rooms to keep my mind off of my own problems. Unfortunately that doesn't work sometimes cause I always end up bringing one of my problems up at some point.

As for the bias mod part, well every single person has made at least one bias decision in there life. Also it is not up to one person alone to judge whats bias and what is not. I have seen some a mod being bias before, I just don't approach the situation the way you do. It's better to act calmly about things than get all freaked out. This is the internet we are real people and this is a real site, but it's technically not even real life so you may want to lighten up on certain issues. Well I don't know if this message will get negative or positive feedback so I'll just end it here.

geeogree : Fine with me. I've found a way to avoid drama and what I feel as biased actions and that's to avoid the chat room all together. I have every right to feel the way I do. And to be honest, I'm moving on from the past. No point in living in it.

And as for everyone else's opinions. Well I'e learned in life I can't please everyone therefore I don't intend to try. I am happy being myself and if I feel I need to change in certain areas I will, and if I like myself, which I do, I'm not changing for anyone.
