There is something that bothers me about reviews on the RGR. As opposed to thorough, informative reviews on this site, all I seem to see are things like "This is a great game. It's fantatic!" or reviews like "This game sucked. Don't play it. 0/10." And I dare you to tell me how those reviews are helpful.
The whole point of reviews is to tell a person about the game as well as their own opinions on it. When I read a review, I want to find out whether or not I'll like the game- and just because you like it doesn't mean I will. For example, I read a review for a game called "Enslaved" in a Game Informer. It didn't just tell me that it was a bad game, it told me WHY it was bad, and basically said that the game was too easy and the gameplay was not challenging. I'm LOOKING for a game that isn't too hard, and therefore this review was actually HELPFUL to me.
For god sakes, theres a difference between a "Review" and a "Comment". If it's a single sentence and doesn't say anything about what makes the game great, or what makes the game suck, or whatever- Please put it in the COMMENTS section, don't create a whole new thread for it. I think there should be a rule that says reviews should have multiple paragraphs. If that's too much, though, reviews should be approved by a mod before posted. If THAT'S too much, there should be someone to moderate the reviews forum and delete the reviews that are not informative and do not follow the RULES of reviews- and I'd be more than happy to do the job.
