If you plugged in your controller after starting up the game, the RGR plugin will probably not recognize the controller so you'll have to close out of the window and open it back up. Otherwise, maybe this page will help - Controls don't work
What game was it by the way, or is it all games? Does the controller work otherwise if you test it?

Hey thanks for your suggestion. My controller was plugged in before i started the game and it still didn't work. This is happening on any game i try to use the RGR plugin on, even the ones that don't require it. I haven't tried adding it to the trusted sites yet. If it works I will tell you but if not I won't say anything.

Actually the need to add Vizzed to trusted sites I believe is only if you're using a keyboard in IE, I'm not sure if it applies to a controller.

Anyway, try testing you're controller:

To test a game controller
1. Open Game Controllers in Control Panel.

2. Under Installed game controllers, click the controller you want to test, and then click Properties.

3. On the Test tab, test your controller by moving or pressing each control, including the stick, wheel, yoke, pads, and buttons as appropriate.
After you perform an action with the controller, view the results on the Test tab.

Notes
-To open Game Controllers, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Game Controllers.

-If the controller is not functioning properly, it may need to be calibrated. To calibrate it, under Installed game controllers, click the controller you want to calibrate, and then click Properties, then on the Settings tab, click Calibrate, and then follow the instructions on your screen.

-To return the controller to the default settings, on the Settings tab, click Reset to Default.
