Have you ever been stupid and tried to do something on your bike? I have my first one is that I tried to jump backwards off my bike and I hit my private of the back wheel and it hurt!!! I also have this big patch of dirt where people built jumps near my house and I tried to go off one with no hands and when I hit the ground my front wheel turned and the handbar went right into my stomach and I got my leg stuck under the back wheel. Tell me your stupidity!

I was riding my bike with a camelback, one of those backpacks with water in it, and I wondered if I could use it while on my bike. So, while riding, I used my left hand to grab it and put it in my mouth. However, as i opened up the valve to let water flow into my mouth, i accidentally let go of the nozzle, and water sprayed all over my face, my body, and my bike.

This is my kind of thread.

I was riding my bike (A nice mountain bike) when I dared myself to ride down the steepest hill in the area. So I go for it, have the ride of my life, and make it all the way down. But I needed more speed, see? So I ride home, get out my lighter bike, and take the hill again. About halfway down the front wheel started to wobble, and it flipped to the side. I skidded the rest of the way down on my left arm and legs, and I tried to stop with my right arm. When I got up I looked myself over. Pretty much all of my left elbow was gone, my right knee had a chunk missing, and my right elbow was pretty much gone. (The skin, at least) I was blocks away from home. Some guy saw all this happen and asked if I was ok. I, being Jazz, said "Yeah, fine." I really wasn't in pain at that point. So I pick up my bike, and started home. I stopped on the way to rest, and by that time I was bleeding like crazy. A car drove by and the lady inside looked terrified. So I continue, and the last part I actually hop back on my bike and ride home.

Now I knew I couldn't say "I wrecked going down 10th street -THE DEATH SLOPE- hill.", so I snuck in and made my way to the bathroom to clean my wounds. I thought cleaning, putting medicine on, and some bandages would fix me right up. I put the wet rag to my scrapes and nearly dropped. The pain had finally hit me. I tried again, painfully, when my mother opened the door and saw me. She made me put my bad leg over the tub as she put that, um, stuff that bubbles over it and my arms. She said gravel was up in the scrapes still, so I had to take a HOT BATH to clean 'em more. Worst, most painful bath of my life.

The next two days were hard, too. As the scrapes dried and healed, skin started to grow back. Skin growing back over large chunks is not painless as a little cut. I actually hurt. A lot. I missed a day of school and went thru a lot of med. supplies.

The moral of this story? Make sure you have a nice, sturdy bike if you ever want to go down a steep hill, wear kneepads and elbow pads, and use good judgement.

I did, however, get a wicked scar on my left elbow from it. So yeah.

I was out on a ride with a group of friends around the local quarry. We have some bike paths laid out all around town. Well i was going as fast as i could get my bike moving when i see there's a corner i can't make without slowing down. Well i made the corner but the drunk guy behind me reflexes weren't fast enough he managed to miss crashing into me but his shirt sleeve caught my handlebars and threw me from my bike. I was still moving pretty fast but still landed on top of my bike with my legs and my face just barely grazed the ground thanks to my quick reflexes. It was such a close call the next day i went and bought a helmet. Im 31 years old and have been riding miles a day since i was five, and had never worn a helmet till after that. Lesson to be learned just because your an awesome biker doesn't mean someone else wont crash into you wear a helmet people.

I think my only injury biking was when I was back in my old hometown when I was younger.

A friend had come over, and he was about ready to go home, so he challenged me to a race down my hill (steep, and rocky dirt road).

We gear up, and my brother said "Go."

I had a huge lead at first, and then I started to relax, big mistake. I hit a rock, flipped over my handlebars and rolled and hopped down a good 100 feet, I was so far from my bike that you'd think I was shot out of a cannon, not flung off a bike.

I somehow miraculously had no cuts or bruises, and I was able to function normally.

So where's the injury? The mental trauma was enough that I didn't ride a bike for a couple years, even now I'm very shaky going near a steep hill.

Once, I stood up on the bike without any hands, and it was good for a while, until a car turned down to my street, and I freaked out, and crashed into the car. Talk about flying..! I landed on some pile of scrap wood, got some nails in me, and a few stitches, but nothing really serious.

And recently when I attempted a one-wheeler, I hit the side of the sidewalk (retarded move, I know, lol.) and made me flip over, and I didn't have any helmet on, so my head hit the cement head-first.

JazzCoon : Damn DUDE!!
legacyme3 : Holy shiet wow. lol. something like that happened to me off a jump while skiing, but eh, snow is a softer landing, still in shock though.
Snowdeath : Omg! dang. Way to shake it off. One-wheeler as in Unicycle?
I have been fortunate enough to only fall forward over the handlebars because of some stones/rocks going downhill. Just a small scrape, n bruises.

UserMike : No, the trick when you lift off your bicycle, basically one-wheeling. You know that? And lol yeah, I was pretty terrified at that time.

Sine I had a BMX bike I always did stunts and stuff, mostly on homemade ramps, like a piece of wood and a few cinder blocks. I have a high pain tolerance so I can crash a lot, I'm not sure if it's from all the crashing or just the way I was born.

When I first learned how to ride a bike, I hadn't totally gripped the concept of turning and rode myself straight into a ditch on the side of the road. I was fine and got back up but I was laughin my head off, it was just so funny to me for some reason...END.

When I was 10 I was riding my dirt bike with my friends who had 4-wheelers and one of them wasn't paying attention and pulled out in front of me while i was going full speed so i hit the 4-wheeler on the side of it and i went somersaulting into the air. Somehow when I came down my bike was laid over on my leg and burned my calf really badly until they pulled it off me. I stood up and said to them all "Just don't tell my dad." Then I picked my bike up and the handlebars were bent at a ridiculous angle and I realized that I was in alot of trouble. LOL. I should never ride a motorcycle or dirt bike. I used to wipe out ALL the time jumping things and hitting things. I got a bad attention span on top of being wreckless.

I had a major bike injury. I really hated this guy and I beat him at everything we did, and one day I was riding my bike and he threw a brick at my head and I fell off my bike and the handle bar went into my stomach. It hurted so bad.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
