My parents decided to give away my puppy and not tell me about it until after they'd already given him away. His name is Red and he's the sweetest puppy you will ever meet in your life. They tried to use the excuse 'We don't have enough money to keep him fed'. There's three things wrong with that statement:

1.) My grandma offered to help pay for dog food.
2.) My mom decided she wants internet at our house so that's racking up a bill.
3.) My dad buys so much beer and booze a month that a lot of our money goes there.

When I found out they gave him away I called my grandma and bawled my eyes out to her for hours. It's absolutely killing me. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep last night, and now I have to go home for half of my spring break and spend time with my parents. I don't want to be anywhere near them right now, much less be stuck in the same house with them for 4-5 days. The only reason I'm even going home is for my sisters. So yeah, this is the reason I haven't been posting the past few days. I'm so torn up I can't see straight.

Aww that sucks, hope things can go smoothly and you can get a puppy for your own.

I would say get a pet rock you don't have to feed it or give it water

Im sorry to hear this, my sentiments go out to you. I imagine that it's definitely not a good time, very similar to the time my parents decided to put down my cat without telling me what was wrong. They did what they thought right, although there were ways to save them. But apparently Yoville, beer, and cable TV is way more important than the cat.

You don't have to be a Mandolorian to get your puppy back. You just have to get the info. you need. Who did the dog go to? Where do they live? Can you get there? How?

Then ask for it back, plead, tell a sob story, anything. If they say no, start to bargain. Once you have the dog, go home. If your parents get mad, tell them about the spending of the cash on beer and such things. Never let go of the dog while doing this. Hold it.

You'll have your dog back and your parents dumbfounded.

I understand how you feel. I used to have a golden retriever puppy. My parents gave it away because he's killing all our plants in the garden ( even destroying the pots) and he's getting too big for us to handle. They gave my dog away "without" telling me. Well I was still a kid that time. Right now I have a chow chow. Dad has a beagle and we have the family's dog a mix of Japanese Spitz and a native. He's pretty old now.

JazzCoon : Lots of problems with what you're telling me to do.

1.) I'm at college, so I'm gone from home all week. If I went to get Red back, they'd just take him away again while I'm at school.

2.) I know the people they gave Red to, and they will not give him back to me, They'd call my parents and bi*** to them about how I'm trying to take Red back.

3.) I've tried crying. I cried on the phone to my grandma for a full 2 hours over it. She even told my parents I was crying my eyes out and they didn't care. They still took Red away.

4.) I have nothing to bargain with. I'm only a college student.

5.) If I told my parents about how they're spending their money, they would disown me.

I know it sounds simple when you say it, but getting Red back is pretty much impossible. Even if I could bring him back home, my parents would just ship him off again.

WOW reading this just gave me a mjaor flashback. My dad did the same thing to me when I was younger, I was like 8, and he did it for drug money. I am so sorry they did that to you. They could've just given him to your Grandmother that way you could've seen him whenever you wanted to.

awwe im so sorry i know how you feel i have lost soo many pets i had a pitbull named moose and my grandma got rid of him cause my uncle was allergic and now we are moving too ontario and i have too get rid of my cat lucifer. im soo sorry for you loseing your dog
