it kinda depends on what you plan to do with it . i have both if im going somewhere i have my laptop so i dont have to use a computer anyone can get onto . but at home i use my desk top . plus its easier to work on my desk top and cheaper .

Well, it depends what you want to do with it. I personally own both a desktop and a laptop. Laptops generally tend to be cheaper then desktops, and are preferred for convenience. However, if you're looking for speed and for a good gaming computer, I would go for a desktop. That said, there are the exceptions, as there are such things as gaming laptops produced, which would preform like a desktop, and visa versa.

I generally go onto Vizzed with my laptop, and therefore I am using it more and more. When it comes to playing games, I use my desktop.

I love portable gaming systems. I always have. That being said, I don't share the same love for laptops. I use laptops quite a bit and yet I still don't like them. I'd prefer a laptop simply because it's portable. You can take it anywhere with you...if there's a connection in the surrounding area the internet can be used. Desktops are good only for the mouse...but a mouse could be connected to a laptop if wanted.

Personaly I have to go with the desktop because it mostly dosn't freeze as much as a laptop because more stuff is able to be downloaded on the desktop.

-Limitations of upgrades (it may only hold 4 GB of RAM and not be able to use a good graphics card.
-Smaller screen size unless you dock it to a monitor.

The only advantage you really get is portability. If you need portability then a laptop is your best choice. If you don't need it then I'd strongly lean toward a desktop.

I'd say a desktop computer is better. Sure, the laptop is portable, but you can do a lot more with a desktop than with a laptop. If you don't need the portability of a laptop, the desktop is the better choice here, but it really is situational with how you'll be using your computer.

Just like many people have already said I love my laptop, but I think that desktops are more able to play video games better. There are some portable desktops though, but you still need AC power. also there are gaming laptops, which can use DC and AC power.
