LJN...meh. So many bad games. I picked up back to the future, Xmen, Beetlejuice, thinking they would be good games.

So. What are your views on LJN? And what is your worst LJN experience?

LJN is probably the worst Licensed developer that released games for the NES, although I doubt that when they made the games they did, that they thought they were "good" games.

I think they were doing so with the intent on making a game as quickly and cheaply as possible. They figured they could get some sales for their games by releasing games bearing the name of popular movies and comic book figures. They knew that people would buy them just because of the name. Keep in mind that the general public was a lot less informed about video games so they counted on little Billy wanting X Men just because he liked X men, or Billy's mom or grandma buying the game because they knew kids love Nintendo and love X Men.

Not all of LJN's games were complete garbage, but they did make some horrible games. Let's just say that I can't think of one GOOD game they made. There were worse games released for the NES than the ones LJN put out, but they were all unlicensed games.

I would probably say that the title for my LEAST favorite LJN game is a tie between Back To the Future, and X-Men. God those games are horrible.

xfighter1138 : Yeah I agree it was a playable game at least. I also think Roger Rabbit gets a bad rap. Don't get me wrong, these are not great games, but they surely aren't as bad as some of the other games they released.

I must agree aswell. Some LJN games aren't TERRIBLE, but the Angry Video Game Nerd gives them a bad name.

I am an AVGN viewer myself, however....

I like AVGN as well, but keep in mind he focuses on the bad aspects of all the games. Although with some most LJN games they do a good enough job of looking bad on their own.

They had some alright games but I can't think of a worse game devoloper.

Well data design interactive are pretty bad

LJN made their games by taking a dump and then watching it flush and having a gypsy tell them what it means. They made the worst NES games ever in the world.

I would have to disagree with the worst games in the world statement. Sure they made some bad games for the NES, but if you have played most of the unlicensed games for the NES you would realize that there are plenty worse games.

For example Action 52, Little Red Hood. Any of the bible games.

billythekidmonster : There are far worse developers out there, LJN does what other companies do which is making licensed gaming to tie in and make money not just what the Angry Video Game Nerd says. There are far worse mostly Hi-Tech Expression games or Paesnian games.

xfighter1138 : I make my own opinions I do not just go off of what the nerd says. The nerd is only a character that is made to make people laugh. I have also played all the LJN games and none of them are good and nearly none of them are playable. As far as the other companies you talked about I might have played their games but I am not sure.

There are games that are playable made by LJN. I mean roger rabbit and T+C surf factory are playable. They may not be the greatest games in the world, but they are "playable"

Roger Rabbit isn't as bad as it made out to be, but it still has it's share of faults
