You ever had one of those days where you felt as though nothing you did amounted to anything, or that you had done the same thing before with little to no results?

If you've ever had one of those kinds of day, then post about an occasion.

I feel like that all the time. However, I tell myself that in the grand scheme of things, nothing that anyone will ever do will have an everlasting impact in the eyes of the cosmos.

NotJon : I feel like that is the general idea that has people thinking that nothing that they do matters in the grand schemes of things, but that's got me thinking that eventually people might stop caring altogether and then nothing will get done.

Every day might consist of these Motions and even the most basic things will appear mandatory.

shredknives : Well that's why I don't listen when I tell myself that. You can't appreciate anything if you think like that. As long as we do all that we can, then there's nothing that we should feel ashamed for.

Haha, I like that.

I tell myself, but I try not to listen.

Sounds like an aspiring Schizophrenic.

Yeah that would happen to me sometimes. I would feel like nothing is worth it and then remember that I have family and friends who love me and that's how I keep going.

Yeah, I've had those days, but I don't have them anymore. I always feel like I get at least something productive done every day, whether it's understanding a concept or performing a service project. At my university, it's hard to not feel productive, because it keeps me busy and gives me purpose.

I think everyone has days like that.... you sort of go through the day in a haze and have little to no desire to be productive.

It helps to have something in front of you that needs to be done. A list or project or something. I find I always work better when I have things that urgently need to be done.

shredknives : Ha ha...ha! You like that eh, I like you lol I gotta agree with geeogree, I am not productive unless it's urgent, important, something that I am passionate about, etc.

If every there was a day I could call myself non-productive, it would have been today, in which I didn't really accomplish anything.. I took two tests which I most likely got a sub-par passing grade on... not helping or hurting my grade... So what was the point in taking them?

I didn't study for either of the tests, and I didn't do any homework, probably cause I didn't feel like it, but I never feel like it... I just sit there in class and waste away

PS2: Fine.
Mega Driver with 71 games: Nice.
Super Nintendo bought at the fair for US$ 25,00: Double Nice.
Turbo Game VG9000T bought at the same fair for US$ 5,00: Just Great.
Black Mega Driver 3 found in a trash can with 4 cartridges: works like a charm.
Long in the tooth Atari: running smoothly
Xbox360 Falcon bought for US$ 700,00, used for 6 months: May devil be with it and guard it.

I've had a few days like that, I think that I'll die unaccomplished, so I try to do something new at least every month.

I'll move this to Café Corner.

Bah, I think today was one of those days. I just sat there in class all day, looking like I'm paying attention, but I'm really not. I do a bunch of pointless warm-up assignments in the beginning of each class that count for nothing towards or grade. It's just so repetitive =/

We have these feelings on a monthly, weekly, or even daily basis, yet we keep them in our "natural" life, saying that it's natural to feel this way. I say rather than accepting it, we should all decide to spice things up in our daily life, whether it's a conversation with a stranger (yes, talk to strangers, when you're a kid it's bad, but as you get older, eventually that's how you learn things.)

Perhaps we could all try to incorporate some new detail in our lives so as to cease the repetitive and often monotonous qualities.

I move to initiate what I'd like to call the Vizzed Outreach Program, where people describe a certain monotonous instance of their daily routine and we develop a sort of team to combat the monotony. It could be as simple as the Golden Cufflink Movement, in which a person would spice things up by dressing in a formal fashion for an informal occasion, because frankly, I'd rather be the "lunatic" standing out for dressing nicely, than one of the mindless zombies who wear the same t-shirt day in day out. A well defined appearance change could be one of the many solutions to break a monotonous routine.

Perhaps someone else has an idea on how to make the repetitive qualities of a persons day a little less "routine"
