I'm a furry, and no, don't get any ideas. I'm not the gross kind. I'm just the kind that dresses up as an animal for fun, and feels happy when they are what they aren't. I've been role playing all my life, and to find a sub-culture that allows me to be what I feel is most like me... That really has helped me with my depression. The day I decided I'd join the sub-culture, I felt quite happy. Drawing my early fursona was a blast. I was once a mouse, though. My current, and probably permanent, fursona is a serval. I'm wearing my tail right now.

Here's what I have for it so far:

Metalhead and skater style clothing
Leopard Ears
A black tail
Pants and shorts

I plan to get some gloves made, but that'll be awhile. Not sure if I'll share what I look like in the costume, but it's really just a simple tail and ears deal. My mom may give me whiskers, too. My dad just laughs when I meow at him. It's fun. I hope to get a wig for the death hawk someday, but not sure if I will.

Oh, and this kitty is drinking coffee. Meow.

The furry in me did happen. I need to rework my fursona, as well... She looks so bland at the moment. At least I make her look better. She's basically me with more confidence. I'm not

Well that sounds cool I guess? I am sorry if I sound mean but when I hear about this it just kinda makes me go "WHAT?" I think it is cool if people make them though, and hey if you like to dress up as an animal than more power to you!

billythekidmonster : I'm not offended. It will seem weird that I like to dress as an animal, obviously. I just like to because it's fun, and makes me feel good when I do so. It makes me feel like I escaped my problems for a short time. Heh. Besides, why grow out of liking to dress up?

I actually take the harassment people on the internet will give me over it as just an example of how I'm a lot higher up since I know it's wrong to treat people like dirt over what they like. I'm a popular choice for harassment due to my personality. I've found myself growing a thicker skin. Heh.

I have plenty of online friends who are accepting of the furry fandom, and my parents happen to be fine with it. Most people around me are fine with what I choose to be. My mom even has fun with it. She thinks an anthro animal acts like one in nature, though...
