so anyone play dungeons and dragons online? its a pretty fun mmorpg

I tried the game out, but it just is not for me. It had controls that felt like I was ice skating, too...

I've played it in the past; not so much anymore. I liked it, even though the controls were very sloppy. I don't know why, but I had horrible framerate problems with it as well. I can run WoW (not that I play) or Oblivion just fine, yet that game... all of Turbine's games are like that for me. It makes combat and movement almost unbearable.

I really liked the whole leveling scope of the game, along with the skills. I preferred to play as that master trap-disarming and lock-picking rogue that wasn't great at combat. It was a blast whenever I had people to play with. Unfortunately, my friends got bored of it pretty quickly. It was probably due to me wanting to grind through each difficulty to get all the favor points... I really wanted a Drow Monk. :/

It's nowhere near as fun as the real thing, but it was a good MMO. I'd go back to it if I had people to play with.

brinkerj1 : Yeah I also tried it out...not exactly the best game there is..but isn't the worst. The controlling is kinda hard.......I'll stick to the simple sega games.

brinkerj1 : So any particular class or anything you're fond of? Like: what is your main character? In real Dungeons and Dragons, my favorites are rogues and monks. That carried over to when I played the MMO, although I never got to try a monk out.

I haven't tried it yet, but I have been thinking about it now that it is F2P.

StewartofGondor : my fave classes in actually dnd is sorcerer or druid online ive dabbled in the sorcerer class but the main character i use is a dwarven fighter to help me get a feel for the game

MY friend has the game and I played it at his house and I thought it was ok. I really just don't like MMO's too much they move too slow for me.

I don´t like it, I like fantasy worlds that have a good feel and story to them, and seeing Drow walking outside in the sunlight is one thing that puts me off, it´s one thing to have someone like Drizzt Do'Urden be different from your everyday drow but when everyone is different...
Also they don´t use dicerolls to determine order of attacks and you can just hack and slash like it´s some sort of a pitiful action game.

Where are all the druids ?

MMORPG´s don´t exist in the words fullest meaning, you have no standing or bearing upon the world in D&D online, and no one roleplays so no immersion and no roles, not a ROLE-playing game.
It´s easy to solo places, so easy that the lowliest of bards can go up against the mightiest of monsters.

You can jump around an out-manouver someone with your own skill, but not with your stats, that is bad game design, a big fat half-orc that casts spells all day does not have as graceful moves as an elven warrior with honed senses and muscles.

I love the forgotten realms and I liked NWN for example a lot, but I give D&D online a rating of 2/10.

thx for your opinion ellert . yea that was a drawback for me too when i started playin i love forgotten realms and wish that they would make a true dnd online

I like dnd online but it really isn't as good as real dnd It all so gets annoying waiting the it to load.
