hey people, do any of you have a certain word that you cant pronounce right that you wish you could? tell 'em here! for me, its the most common word i say: thank you. i always pronounce it with the K in it messed up, like: thang you, than you, thun you, thanou, etc.

so what words are you frustrated over not pronouncing right?

Transport, I always say it wrong unless I am making a concies effort to say it completely right. Otherwise it just comes out weird.

For me, it's photosynthesis. I can get it right for about 50 percent of the time. But the other 50 percent...well, I fail miserably.

Frustrated. Most of the time I pronounce it Fustrated. Don't ask why, it's just what comes out of my mouth.

PWNZORZ. That was epic, don't deny it. Also, another one, Medial Suspensery Ligament. It's the muscle that holds the "mammary system" together on most animals. Don't ask me how I know that.

The word horror. I actually have nearly removed it from my vocabulary so no one thinks I watch porn.

For me it's the simple word "the." I tend to pronounce it "thuh"

I mispronounce just about every word. I even had to go to speech class when I was younger because I had trouble saying words. I still can't get certain sounds right.

I've been told I pronounce "piece of" as "pizza".

I actually have some very fluent pronounciation. It's foreign words, mostly japanese words that give me trouble pronouncing.

supernerd117 : Well, it's a place name, in the case of Llanfair P.G. (which is what all the locals call it). German can get some pretty lengthy words, though.

legacyme3 : I can say stoppen es hund, which is a German sentence I attempted to form. It means, "stop that, dog". :3 I use it to get my dog to listen to me, and he somehow does.

I have an easier time saying foreign words than I do English words. :| Though, many English words already are just imported foreign words. I have trouble with Asian languages, though. I find European ones easier. Now Norwegian... That language is hard. I mean... How do you find the sounds in a word like... Okay. Let me just get a Norwegian song for an example.

I'm not sure any more...I actually mispronounce words literally so I'm not sure which ones I can actually say right if I wanted to. I like to say things like aminals, squeeze me(excuse me), and edible substances instead of saying food. Maybe I'm just odd, but who isn't. It makes me feel good to know though that half of my grade can't spell CEILING. Lol, ceiling. Oh, and ATTIC. Seriously, attic? They add a "k" in the end...makes meh feal smart too now I spells gooder dan tem. Oh, and I say Sammich(Sandwich, duh) and imma(I'm going to). And I'm gonna stop now before I ramble on about unrelated stuff...END

rendezvous564 : Those pronunciations are actually very common. I may be wrong, but it could be a part of inner city type accents. Your accent can often be a part of having issues with certain words. I have practically toned down my southern Ohio accent, but it still comes up. I'm quite obsessive about correct grammar, so it's odd for me to use sentence structure of the more country type of speech. I even get angry when I hear it said by just about anyone.

I'm not a grammar freak, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong if I don't use good sentence structure verbally.

I never thought about this question. Hmm...Try and pronounce the word frighteningly very fast..it's quite the tongue twister.
