So, anyways, I remember a week or so ago, when I reached 250 posts, I expected to be able to change my layout and sig. Obviously, the layout rules have changed, and the sig rules have, too. In both, it states that you must "Be trusted or have at least 250 posts". My suggestion is to change the layout specs to say: "Elite and up" and the sig specs to say "Must be trusted AND have 250 posts."

Maybe I'm just a perfectionist, I dunno. But it's important to keep rules up to date, to avoid confusion.

I think that the current situation (elit and up) is temporary, till a new feature(like official layouts and sigs shops) will be implemented.
So I think that's the reason, that this paragraph at help center haven't changed. Because in the near future, members with 250 posts and trusted members, will be able to have a layout made by those shops.
Besides there is that thread at news forum, where normal and up members can find more info about it.
I'm not saying that you're wrong, I'm just saying that David is working very hard these days on more essential features, and it would be like a waste of time, if he was using his valuable time for details
