So i decided to make a thread following my fictional journey through the Kanto region. I'll probably keep editing this one post, if i can't ill just figure out a new process. Btw i don't know if it is mentioned in the series but i'll just use the regular Months and Dates. I'll also make it this year, but no technology outside of what is seen in the actual games. It will be styled in a journal fashion, with maybe an occasional flashback or extra emphasis on specific parts.

Will i find legendaries? Doubt it. Will i battle against the evil forces of Team Rocket? Maybe. Will i steal some little girl's bike? Definitely not.

Well today marks the first day of my new life. I became a Trainer, one destined to battle other trainers and Pokemon, striving to reach the ultimate goal of winning the Indigo Plateau. Maybe i should write a bit about myself. I am currently 16 years old, and i recently graduated from the PokeAcademy. Yea i know, originality wasn't high in their goals. But it did it's job, and provided me with some valuable knowledge. Type advantages, item uses, evolutions, abilities; I had a solid grasp on the basics. Personally i felt it gave me a bit of a headstart compared to all those other beginner trainers coming from Pallet. While the revered Prof. Oak lives there, he doesn't really give out seminars and lessons everyday. I must admit, i did not believe my journey would start the way it did. I expected to have a relatively normal beginning, maybe visit the Professor. See what he had to offer and choose a Pokemon that i felt would suit me. I was horribly wrong. First, Oak gets locked out of his lab, for three hours. By the time we got in i was desperate to grab a Pokemon a leave. Oak tried to rope me into getting a Pokedex to help him with his research. However i knew it would only hinder my progress. Sure catching lots of Pokemon would provide me with a variety to choose from, but it also would make it hard to focus and train the ones i did have. I knew though that a Pokedex could be helpful in my quest to obtain a strong enough team to take on the Indigo Plateau and win it. So i cut the Professor a deal. Every new species i sent back to the lab, evolutions included, i would earn $50. It doesn't seem like much, but with there being over 150 Pokemon in the world, a decent source of money would be welcome. So he gave me the usual speech and showed me the possible Pokemon; Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur. I hadn't really thought it over too much, but i always liked the color red and Fire types so i chose Charmander. I quickly left and headed back to my home in Viridian. On my way there i decided to be a little sadistic and have my new Charmander roast a few low level Rattatas with it's Ember. Being wild and low leveled, they stood no chance. After an hour or so me and the newly proud Charmander walked back to Viridian. It's honestly a shame that i can't say i went home and slept for the next day. Right after i enter the the city gates, I see two kids my age attempting to get into a battle with this younger boy, maybe around 12. So being the idiot i am, i approach the 2 and offer to have a Double Battle instead to make it fair. So they duo nods and sends out a Mankey and a Pidgey. The girl next to me pulls out a Poliwag and it joins my Charmander. I won't bore you with the details, but those Rattata earlier must have let Charmander grow a bit stronger. It is easily able to take on the Pidgey, felling it in a quick double barrage of Ember. The main problem however is that the Mankey is smart enough to pick off the Poliwag while i'm distracted with the Pidgey. A quick Leer and Low Kick combo is enough to send Poliwag sprawling on the floor. Before it can even get up a Scratch is landed on it's head. Now it's just Charmander and the Mankey. I have a bad feeling that it is way more experienced than Charmander. Charmander isn't one to back down from a challenge it seems, and proudly breathes a few smoldering embers. They square off and trade some Scratches, the occasional Growl or Leer finding it's way into the fray. But his Mankey does a new move as it uses a Low Kick to make Charmander trip. As it goes for the Scratch however Charmander is able to spray an Ember to keep it away. Charmander's health must be low cause it can barely stand. Mankey seizes this and jumps to end it with a Karate Chop, which i am surprised it knows. But as it jumps, Charmander's tail flame seems to double in size. Now i remember, when in drastic danger, Blaze kicks in and makes Fire attacks stronger in the Charmander family. Knowing this, i order a quick Ember in the air. I wasn't expected dozens of little fireballs to erupt sending the Mankey flying. It's obvious we won, but they don't look happy. It seems they run a little ring around here, that takes money by outnumbering people. And according to League rules, they have to give me some prize money. As i go to leave i notice that sometime during the fight the little boy had ran away, leaving me alone with these 2. However they know they were beaten, so they go back to the park, but not before telling me that i now have the entire ring of theirs after me. And it seems to expand beyond Viridian. I walk back to the Pokemon Center, deciding to see the hospitality i'm going to be utilizing throughout my journey. And Charmander needs to heal and rest of course. And so this ends the first day of David, rookie Trainer who is in way over his head for his first day. Tomorrow holds more surprises, i wonder how much of them are better than today's?

I apologize now for any grammatical errors, or punctuation errors. While i am attempting to make sure it is readable, i sometimes type too quickly and it just blurs.

You are welcome to leave criticism, both good and bad. Please keep in mind though this is the first actual piece of writing i have ever done for something like this.
