Should the Retro Game Room get Flash games? I know it's not Retro (well some are remakes of retro games) but if it's draw more traffic and if users would play them, I'd be willing to add them.

Advantages of having Flash Games
+More games to play
+Bigger audience to draw in
+More game pages and content means even better search engine ranking

Disadvantages
-There's no way to automate adding them so someone would have to manually add them. The reason they couldn't be automated is that each game has a different size so someone would have to manually adjust the size it plays at for each individual game.
-Obtaining the games is a huge task.
-I'd have to charge no Viz for the games since there's to much competition out there to charge Viz. I can justify charging for GBA and N64 since no other site has them (and since they are massive and suck up bandwidth which costs me a lot of money). I can justify charging Viz for SNES and Genesis since only 2 or 3 other sites have them. All other systems are so cheap in Viz that it's not even worth complaining over lol.
-Someone could mistaken this site for being all flash games which would make them view us as just another flash gaming site. This would be bad because there's 1000s of Flash gaming sites but only a few sites that you can play actual roms online (and vizzed is the only one with this big of a collection and also the only site with N64 and GBA and all the many features the RGR has).

Maybe you should, because it would distinguish us from the other sites even more. I know that we could be mistaken for a flash site, but it will draw a bigger audience, which will get you to make more money from the ads and have more people on the site, which is a good thing. Maybe you could just add on to this page and bring it out into the open.

Yeah I agree with alex, You could just add the flash page to the RGR and brong it out in the open.
Maybe also recode the arcade as well into it so that more people try and get arcade scores as well, since it is a part of everyones profile.

I don't really like the way the old Flash game room looks, I'd like for it to have the look of the RGR which would mean I'd have to add the Flash games to the RGR.

I'm gonna have to say no there are bigger and better things to focus on. No point in adding a bunch of cheesy flash games on here unless they are of quality like on kongregate If anything you should try getting more retro systems up first. Up to you but I think you got enough things as it is to work on around here lol. The last thing you want is for people to look at this site as another cheesy flash game site I would stay away from those until you get other things done first.

JigSaw : There really isn't many more systems I can really add to the RGR though since there's no way to play any more systems that what's already in the RGR. I could have the RGR Plugin updated but it'd cost far to much money to have some more systems added and none of them seem worth it. But I agree, while there are a few really awesome flash games, there's to many crappy ones and I wouldn't want to have the RGR labled as having low quality games.

I was just about to say.... if you do add any I would want you to be REALLY selective. Only grab the really popular or really high quality ones. What's the point in getting a bunch of generic flash games that people can play elsewhere? It wouldn't help Vizzed at all.

I just don't think it will be worth the effort in my opinion. Won't really make vizzed more popular because lots of people are wanting the real deal when it comes to games, the games they use to play growing up not some flash games that are really generic they never played or heard of. You should scrap this idea and focus on battle arena, or atleast if you do use this idea do what geo said and only select the best flash games.

work on the battle arena!!!!! I have been waiting for one for SO long. Randy didn't deliver (still hasn't )... it would be nice to finally see one on here.

I'm currently focusing all of my development on the item shop (and soon character maker and than battle arena). Actually I would just have RGR staff add all these games, no way I'd dedicate time away from more important stuff

JigSaw : There are some incredibly good flash games and we'd be pretty picky on what we'd add, only games that we think deserve a 7 or higher for a rating.
