I found the Item shop and have bought some things from it, I found where they go, but what do you do with these items? Are they just for decoration?

They are just for decorations, just getting them for fun, and just showing it off.

I think later on, Vizzed Board will have a Battle Hacking program where you can vs. other members of Vizzed Board with your cool and powerful items.

As BreakDown said, most of the items like the Weapons and Shields are just decoration at this time, though later on they might be useful in a battle game on the forum.
But some of the items have another use.
In the Accessory Store you will find items named after game consoles.
If you get one of these game console items you can play every game on that console in the Retro Game Room for free.
And the items called the V-Machine and the Laptop allow you to play any game on any console in the Retro Game Room for free.
