So, over the last 3 months, I've been rebuilding a cabin ( fort )(that's been destroyed once), with new, expensive wood (I used some old, sturdy stuff , too). Today, these old friends of mine walk up to me and say " Hey, Alex, check out the new cabin! ' Yeah, we, um, fixed it for you...'" and then I walk down to see that it has been completely demolished. My sister and me, added 2 new chairs(fluffy) and now there is fluff all over the place. My sister's nail polish has been smeared all over the trees, and the bottles for them have been broken, all over the now destroyed floor. I have attached some pictures of the cabin's aftermath (I'm looking though my photo collection to see if I uploaded the before pictures or not). My hammer was stolen. There is at least $500 of damage done to behind my backyard. Boards with nails have been flipped over, my sister now has a hole in her foot. There are booby traps all over the place, pitfalls, trip wires, strong trees held down by light rocks so that they would smack you in the face if you entered. I told my mom, and she said " Suck it up, I told you it was going to happen!" What do you think I should do?

Did you build it on your own property? If so, you could call the police for destruction of private property. If you built it somewhere public though, you're outta luck. I find it really unsupportive of your mother to tell you to suck it up. You actually took initiative, put hard work into something, and actually created something. I'd never get around to doing that. Sorry your mom is like that, Alex.

BTW, for some reason fire fox doesn't recognize the word "unsupportive" and says it's spelled wrong! Weird!

Strange... all sorts of Vizzed members have been getting bad luck, like Chronabis close cell with death, Cyrbo getting his stuff stolen, JusTReal's stuff getting stolen, too, and now you.

Hopefully this is not too serious, but it is sort of sad.

wow dude, did your friends do that? i would do something that im not allowed to say on here to them. also, i feel bad for you because of your mom. thats preety mean. i say just somehow get the money back and start again. nothing wrong with labor (except when youve already spent 3 weekends on it). just do what you can again. enjoy the outdoors, and have fun with a little manual labor. thats all i can tell you.

wow that sucks if your freinds did that i would make them pay for the damages cause thats just screwes up.

Damn, that really sucks man. If those guys were your friends, I'd say it's time to find some new ones, because that's just wrong. That sort of thing just shouldn't ever happen, and it's adding insult to injury to set up traps that could seriously hurt someone. I say that you should call the cops, whether or not it was on your property, if only to report the traps. That sounds really dangerous, and I'm sure it would fall into the category of some sort of assault, I'm not sure which though.

Yup, my mom is tough like that sometimes, and I set up a few pitfalls, tripwirees, and the occaisional falling tree when you step in a certain area.

If you set up a few booby traps, are you sure you didn't run into your own? Also, maybe the guys who did this got hit by a few and built there own as pay back. I didn't say they were your friends, because someone who would do that isn't a friend.

Man, I feel sorry for you, all that work wasted and it makes me mad is there is a
kid that does crap like that all the time. If you leave your bag on the ground, he'll rip it open, break the zipper, dump your stuff all over the room, and snap all your pens. He's costed a couple hundred dollars to the school, breaking tools in the shop, ripping up bathroom tiles, and destroying locks and hinges to doors.
We just have to learn to live with impulsively destructive people.

wow i would be infuriated. why don't you try building it on your property instead of right behind it then maybe they wont' do it again :/ or if they do so you can file a police report cause thats a bunch of crap. also did you set up the traps before or after the first attack on the fort?
