Seems like my body dont wanna sleep... I've been like this for 4 days now, I dont even know if its a good thing. I'll lie down for 4 hours, doing nothing but making up stories inside my head just to keep myself from being bored, then I'll be able to sleep for one hour, after I wake up I cant make myself sleep anymore so I always go outside to do some jogging or bikes, come home at 6 am, computer stuff from 8am till 12 in the morning.... then I'll lie down again, and so on...

Any thoughts or suggestions on what to do about this? ( except dangerous stuff )

That sucks. I've been like that before too.

Most people claim that exercise or something works to create the feeling of exhaustion. Other than that, just read a book that you know is boring enough to put you to sleep or even drawing works sometimes for me.

My advice is to stay away from the computer and any brightly-lit screens for an hour or two BEFORE you want to sleep, it kinda confuses the body in my opinion and keeps you awake like caffeine. Lol.

I don't know if these works; sleeping pills. But it might be dangerous, so let me take them off the list.

How about playing outside, then eating? It will make you drowzy and tired. Or maybe you are just excited. Then just wait for just a few days to go back to your normal day.

Or just check online to see some sleeping tricks.

I'm afraid that I can't offer you any sound advice on this subject, as I seem to be immune to most of the tricks that help you get to sleep. The only thing that has really helped me be able to sleep for rabout the past two months is staying awake for 40+ hours. After that it only gets slightly more likely that I'll fall asleep with more ease.

The only thing that I can say that helps a little is drinking something warm(not a lot, mond you)right before you go to bed. I prefer tea. But this only works sometimes for me. To be clear, I'm talking about decaffeinated tea.

Now I am a night owl but when I want to go to sleep at a decent hour, I usually stay up real earyly in the morning like 6-8am then sleep til like 12 latest so I'm not drained but still tired, then I usually goto sleep early that night. One helpful tip. You might not be able to do this but hey, at least I tried!

I've been dealing with the same thing for awhile now (well not exactly, since when I fall asleep I'm out lol). I find the best thing to do is find something that will occupy your mind while not having to think too much. Watch a movie you've watched before. Do something monotonus and mind numbing.

What I did when I couldn't sleep at night was simple. I chose a time to go to sleep, and one to wake up on, and then I went to bed at that exact time where I should be sleeping, and stayed in bed until my alarm clock went off.


It doesn't matter if you actually sleep only 1 hour or the whole time during this, the point is that you stay in bed and relax. The first few days I slept maybe only 1-2 hours a night, but eventually I started sleeping perfectly through whole nights.

It really sucks...
There are some kind of food, which it is said that help sleeping.
For example, when I can't sleep I usually eat one apple or drink a glass of milk. They have a calming effect on me!
But avoid drinking green tea or coffe,and also don't eat oranges or chocolate a few hours before going to bed.

that happens to me before i goto sleep i will think about all kinds of stuff for about and hour, while im laying there trying to sleep.
but some medicinal marijuana would put you right to sleep. maybe some sleeping pills, or just drink a lil glass of rum.
