Mega Man X has a lot of characters, bosses and enemies. Earlier this month I did biographies on the bosses and characters. Today I decided I would do a biography on one of the most common enemies in Mega Man X (first game). I'm going to be doing a biography on the Mega Tortoise.

The Mega Tortoise was originally a mechaloid that was used for military purposes. However, when Sigma went maverick he infected the Mega Tortoise. This turned the mechaloid into a raging aggressive attack enemy. Sigma mass copied the Mega Tortoise and gave several to his officers. He even put a lot in his own fortress. Given how common of an enemy it is in the first game. It is likely that Sigma thought highly of it as it is in just about every stage of the game. Eventually all Mega Tortoises were destroyed by X or by Zero.

Appearance- The Mega Tortoise resembles and is based off of a tortoise. It appears to be yellow and coral color. In addition, there are cannons on its back that it can fire missiles or floating bombs. Like real life tortoises this enemy is found only on land. Although, it can be found on platforms in the water. In real life turtles are mostly found in the water but can be on land. Tortoises are strictly land.

Attacks- The Mega Tortoise has several ways to attack the player. They can fire bombs that float then parachute down. These bombs do serious damage. They can also fire missiles from their back that also does major damage. While it is not an attack they are often blocking pathways forcing the player to fight them.

Weaknesses- The Storm Tornado makes short work of them. As the powerful tornado weapon can take them out quickly. X enhanced Buster can also do a lot of damage to them. It should be noted if they are multiple ones behind each other the tornado weapon can go through one and hit the one behind it.

In summary, the Mega Tortoise is one of the more common enemies in the first Mega Man X game. In addition, they are the most powerful due to the power of their attacks. I actually liked these enemies as I like turtles and tortoises so I was glad that Capcom made an enemy based off of them. This concludes the biography.
