This topic is not specific to pc's you have built, you can upgrade to another pre built pc and laptop.

Anyway, what's makes you considered upgrading your current pc. Is it due to its age, or you just simply want to next best piece of hardware to brag about. Upgrading your pc feels great.

When do you plan on upgrading your pc?

I have no plans to upgrade my pc anytime soon. For the most part my pc is still highly capable of doing what I need it to do. Maybe in 5 years I will consider an upgrade. In that time I'm sure my pc will start showing its age.

Probably sometime in Spring, I'm excited because my current one has been really slow lately, I don't know why.

I'm not 100% sure which one I'm getting yet, but I think it's 7.

I do not plan on upgrading because mine are pretty new. I got mine in 2023. I tend to hold on to my PC as long as I can. I had a 2014 Dell that lasted 9 years. But it was starting to cause me trouble. I had it worked on a few times, but it was time for me to get a new PC. Therefore, I do not plan on upgrading anytime soon

I've reduced the usage of my PC recently, so my current one already works well enough. It is very slow in booting up, but otherwise works good and runs everything I need.

The thing is it's about to turn 8 years old this summer, so it could be time to start finding a new one and have a possible replacement for it should it fall victim to its age. I have no need to renew it just yet, and I hope it can last for a good while like this because transferring all the data will be a pain in the ass.

Does a new case and changing the CPU cooler to a liquid-cooled one count as an upgrade? If so, probably in the next couple months. The last upgrade I did was a major overhaul that can get a lot hotter than before. I didn't upgrade to liquid cooling, and I would like to remedy that before summer. My room that my PC is in doesn't have great cooling thanks to central air not working for some reason, so I need to find a better way to keep it cooler so I don't mess it up.
Honestly, if anyone has any good PC cases or liquid coolers, I am willing to take suggestions. I have an i5-13600k CPU, so it needs to support LGA1700. I would prefer an ATX size case since that is the motherboard size I have.
