General Guy also known as General Shy Guy is a boss that first appeared in Paper Mario 64. He is the leader of the Shy Guys and an officer in Bowser's army. He is one of my favorite bosses from Paper Mario. I decided to do a biography about him.

Not much is known about his past. However, given that the shy guys have worked for Bowser. He most likely has been a Bowser minion for a long time. As his name implies he is the leader of the shy guys. This makes him an officer in Bowser's army. In fact, he is likely over the Shy guy unit in Bowser's Army. He lives in the Mushroom Kingdom along with the other shy guys, who do not work at Bowser's castle, in Shy Guy's Toy Box. The Toy Box is a world of toys that the shy guys use as weapons as well as play with. This is his base of operations.

During the events of Paper Mario 64 Bowser steals the star rod from the Star Spirits. He also imprisons the Star Spirits. Bowser orders General Guy and his Shy Guys to guard a star spirit. The General hides the star spirit in their world. While Bowser told the General to guard it. The General gave commands on his own.

General Guy orders his shy guys to go on a string of robberies in the Toad Town which is part of the Mushroom Kingdom. They steal everything that is not bolted down. This causes the residents of Toad Town to panic. With the help of Lady Bow Mario discovers the shy guys have an entry in the shape of a Toy Box in an empty building. Mario sees how to get into their world. Mario enters the Shy Guy Toy Box. He discovers a world with toys that are used as weapons as well as play. He also discovers the Toy Box World has 4 areas.

Eventually Mario recovers all the stolen items. The he eventually meets the General. The General is angry at Mario for ruining, in his own words, his fun. He explains that Bowser ordered him to guard the spirit. He gives commands to his Shy Guy wave armies. After they are defeated The General attacks in his toy tank. He puts up a good fight but is defeated by Mario and his friends.

Appearance- General Guy appears to be a slightly bigger shy guy. He has a traditional shy guy mask. However, he wears a gray army uniform with medals on it. In addition, he has shoulder pads on each shoulder. Moreover, he wears a gray officers hat with more medals. It is shown that underneath his uniform he appears to be a Red Shy Guy. His medals are possibly medals he has won while commanding the Shy Guy unit from Bowser. This is likely given how Bowser trusts him.

Personality- He has a military like personality. He gives out commands like a military officer. In addition, he even talks like a military person. He is very loyal to Bowser and in some versions state how Bowser trusts him. He also cares for his shy guys and is mad when they are defeated. Furthermore, he is very confident in his troops abilities and when he is in his Toy Tank. It is shown he can be a sore looser when Mario starts to win he accuses Mario in cheating and using illegal war tactics. This is ironic considering he will do anything what it takes to win. On the other hand, when he is defeated he panics and orders his army to retreat.

Abilities- General Guy is a great military planner. He commands his army very well. He is the most dangerous when he is in his toy tank. He is shown to be a great driver and fighter when he is in his tank.

Attacks- General Guy surprisingly is a tough opponent. His troops may not be the best organized. However, when he is in his toy tank that is when he is dangerous. In his tank he can shoot and throw bombs at Mario and his friends. If his light bulb is intact he can use that to generate electricity shocking Mario and his friends. Although, watt is immune to this attack.

Weakness- General Guy is shown to be week to Watt's attacks. He is week to electricity attacks directly. This is also ironic considering his tank can create high voltage to shock Marion and his friends. Watt also does significant damage to him by shocking him. He is also weak to Lady Boy's slap attack and she can cause Mario to vanish. However, the General has a lot of stamina and has a high amount of hit points.

Allies

Bowser- General Guy is one of Bowser's most trusted officers. He is in charge of the Shy Guy Unit. He is also very loyal to him. Bowser was mad that Mario defeated the General. However, he was not really mad at the General.

Shy Guys- He really cares for his shy guys, which are his troops, he shows rage when they are defeated.

Other Bosses- Given how he is a strong ally to Bowser. It is likely he is also a strong ally to the Koopa Brothers, The Koopa Pharoah, Tubba Bubba, and the Ice King.

Enemies

Mario-He is an enemy to Mario due to Mario is on a mission to defeat Bowser. Also Mario spoils his fun by returning all the items.

Mario Party members- he is an enemy to the mario party members. However, he is shown at the end credits interacting with Watt suggesting he respects Watt at least.

In Summary, General Guy is one of my favorite bosses. I have always liked the shy guys. I like his personality and his playful personality. Even though he is a tough opponent. Anyway, General Guy is a commander officer in Bowser's Army. He is over the shy guys and loves to play in the toy box, which is their world. He is also a tough opponent especially when he is in his tank. It also appears he loves to create mayhem for fun. This concludes General Guy's Biography.
