It is storming in my area and since I like Storms I decided the time has come to do one of my favorite bosses from Mega Man X4. As a meteorologist I like storms, so today I thought it would be a good day to do a biography on Storm Owl. Storm Owl is a reploid, cyborgs with human traits, that first appeared in Mega Man X4. He was labeled a maverick, reploids that pose a danger to the world, in a controversial matter. Anyway, lets learn about Storm Owl.

Storm Owl has been around for a long time. It is revealed that he knew Storm Eagle and Chill Penguin. This means he was around for the events of Mega Man X1. It is likely he was also built by Cain Labs. After seeing the events in the first game he flew away, possibly to flee from Sigma. Since he did not display Maverick activity he was forgotten about and not really seen. Eventually, he joined Repliforce. Repliforce was originally created to assist the Maverick Hunters in missions. In addition, they were also created to help hunt down criminals, mavericks, and keep the peace. Basically, they were a military like unit. At that time Repliforce had a good working relationship with the Maverick Hunters. In fact, members would train with the other organization.

Storm Owl quickly became a high ranking member of Repliforce achieving the rank similar to a Major. He was also put in charge of the Air Force. He was a great military planner, good at analytics, and highly respected. He was also very good at combat especially in the dark. He won several awards due to being an effective officer. It seemed like things were going well for him, but oh how that was about to change.

Sigma had returned and met with the General of Repliforce to launch a war against the Maverick Hunters. General was outraged and ordered Sigma out of his site. Sigma then sent Magma Dragon and other mavericks to attack the Sky Lagoon floating above a major city. The maverick attack caused the Lagoon to fall on the city. Repliforce was in the area and emerged on the scene. X and Zero also showed up at the scene. X and Zero wanted Repliforce to come to the Hunter Base for questioning. Repliforce policy was to fight to the death. They decided they would not come. The Maverick Hunters grew even more suspicious. The General then decided Repliforce would be better off with their own nation. This lead them to being labeled mavericks. Sigma's plan had worked. Both armies would destroy 90% of each other in a tragic civil war.

Storm Owl being over the air force was loyal to his organization and started to supply air support to Repliforce. He joined the coupe and defended his air base and soldiers underneath him. X and Zero made their way throughout the Repliforce Air Base. There they encountered Storm Owl. They asked him to call off the coupe. Storm Owl refused and was made that he was labeled a Maverick. His pride and stubborn personality lead to his downfall. He refused to surrender and engaged the two hunters in battle. He put up a good fight but was destroyed by X and Zero.

Appearance- Storm Owl is based off of an owl. He has red, yellow and green armor. He has large wings and as such has a large wingspan. He is also big and very bulky.

Personality- Storm Owl is a prideful and proud warrior. When he fled the events of Mega Man X1 this showed he had a high sense of moral. He did not take part in Sigma's revolt and refused to be a part of it. He had a great sense of honor. In Repliforce he respected everyone even opponents. He even saluted X and Zero out of respect. He was great as a high ranking officer. Earlier he wanted to be an officer like Storm Eagle was, which he succeeded in doing so. Moreover, he has a high sense of loyalty he looked up to the General and followed his vision of independence. Despite his good traits he is shown to be fierce and will defend his unit. He was angry at the Maverick Hunters for labeling his unit as mavericks and for them wrecking his base. Storm Owl's biggest downfall is his pride and stubborn. Due to pride and being stubborn he refused X and Zero request to stop the coupe and to come for questioning. X and Zero told him several times they did not want to kill him or even fight him. Instead he engaged them in battle and the two hunters were forced to destroy him.

Abilities-Storm Owl is a tough opponent to beat. He has very powerful attacks. His lens makes him effective at day and nighttime combat. He has superior night vision. He can also pick up opponents and throw them back down. Despite being heavy and bulky he is a great flier similar to Storm Eagle. Also like Storm Eagle he can create storms.

Attacks- Storm Owl has several powerful attacks. One of his powerful attacks is his swoop attack. In this attack Storm Owl will use his talons to scoop up his opponents, lift his opponents then drop them back down causing major damage. He can also create lasers with his buster that he has on his hands. His main and most destructive attack is his Cyclone attack. Storm Owl will fire green spheres out these spheres will then create cyclone winds. Another attack is he can create cyclone and tornado like winds that can send his opponents flying around the room doing major damage.

Weaknesses- The laser weapon does damage to him. It is believed the laser weapon interferes with his abilities. Also the laser weapon can cut through his very thick armor. Still the player will need to carefully aim the laser as he is very powerful. He can easily break out of the pattern.

If the Player defeats him they will get the powerful double cyclone weapon. The player will then be able to fire powerful spheres with wind around them. Zero will get his saber upgraded and it will turn even more powerful.

Height- around 6 feet tall

Weight- it is speculated he is over 360 pounds

Power- He is very powerful due to his attacks so he has above average power.

Speed- He has average speed, but he is mostly avian so speed is not really a factor.

In Conclusion, Storm Owl had been around for awhile before the events of Mega Man X1. He showed he had moral character by fleeing Sigma. Given how he was around for the events of X1 he probably witnessed his mentor Storm Eagle being defeated by Sigma. Ironically, his organization and the Maverick Hunters were manipulated into a civil war by Sigma. Storm Owl did not live to see it was Sigma behind the events of Mega Man X4. He also had honor and took pride in being a high ranking officer in Repliforce. His downfall was his pride and being stubborn. In a way, he could be considered a tragic character. He was effective at being an officer and due to his sense of honor he was highly respected even outside of Repliforce. On the other hand, being a high ranking officer he could have stopped the coupe. He also could have surrendered to X and Zero and survived the events of Mega Man X4. Overall, he is one of my favorites from Mega Man X4 due to his history, his name, and his abilities to create storms. This concludes his bio
