Soldier Stonekong is a reploid, cyborgs with human traits, that appeared during the events of Mega Man 7. Him and along with other members of his organization became mavericks, which are reploids that pose a danger to the world. He could also be seen as a tragic figure during the events of Mega Man X7, so let's learn about him.


Soldier Stonekong was a respected warrior and officer in the organization Red Alert. He seems to be in charge of jungle or ground forces. Red Alert was a vigilante type organization that hunted down criminals and mavericks. Therefore Soldier Stonekong was also a high ranking bounty hunter. Unlike the Maverick Hunters, which hunted down criminals as well as mavericks, but followed the law. Red Alert did not always follow the law. The two organizations did not trust one another. Despite not trusting each other the two organizations respected each other. Red Alert was doing such a good job at preventing maverick riots they were started to be seen as heroes. Soldier Stonekong was so effective and had great honor he was also getting respected and seen as a hero. Oh but how things were about to change.

Sigma, under the alias the professor, noticed how powerful Red Alert was getting and how there was distrust between them and the hunters. He asked Red to challenge the hunters to a duel. Red refused saying that while there wad distrust there was no hostile feelings. Sigma then started to infect Red Alert members including Stonekong. Axle seeing what was happening refused to be a part of Sigma's bidding. Axle, who had the ability to copy others, fled to the Maverick Hunters. Sigma used the newly infected Red Alert officers to force Red to challenge the Maverick Hunters to a duel.

Soldier Stonekong took over a jungle forest. He ordered his soldiers under him to set traps for the hunters. Stonekong accepted his fate that he would either die at the hands of Sigma or the Hunters. Even while being infected he showed signs of still having a sense of honor. Even Zero was impressed with his honor and battle skills. However, he was still destroyed by the hunters. The hunters showed respect to him after killing him.

Appearance- Stonekong is a very tall towering reploid. He is also very bulky. He is also based off of a gorilla. In addition, he has a viking like helmet that he wears. It also appears he has multi colors including blue, yellow, red, purple, and orange.

Personality- Before he was infected he was a serious officer that had a lot of honor. He had a personality that was described like a knight. He even showed honor to enemies. After getting infected his personality became complex. He did not turn more violent like most reploids infected by Sigma, but he still followed Red Alert out of loyalty. When confronted by the hunters he stated he was aware that Red Alert had been infected. The Hunters asked him to do the right thing and surrender. Instead he stated Red Alert had gone down the wrong road but it was too late. Being loyal to Red Alert proved to be his downfall. On the other hand, he showed he still had honor. He said as an officer it was time for him to die and said let our weapons speak for us.

Abilities- He loves to use his massive size in battle. He has unlimited strength and power. He can create powerful rocks that can be used as a weapon and as a shield. He also is very calm in battle as he never looses his cool even when he thinks he is in trouble. He also has a powerful sword that he uses in battle.

Attacks- Stonekong has several powerful attacks- He can throw his shield. The Shield can be used as a weapon when he attacks opponents. He can also throw very thick boulder like projectiles that can crush or seriously damage his opponents. His sword attack is his most powerful attack. He will use his sword to deal massive damage by striking or dashing at the player. Another powerful attack is when he uses his jumping attack this is when he will try to crush his opponents.

Weaknesses- He is week to the explosion weapon. This can disrupt his shield and throwing abilities. However, he is too powerful to be kept down for long. While he is powerful and his attacks do so much damage. It should be noted he is not the fastest reploid.

If the player defeats him they will get the Gae Shield or sword weapon.

In conclusion, Soldier Stonekong was a high ranking officer in Red Alert. He had a high sense of honor. Even the hunters were impressed with his honor and battle skills. He was 1 out of 3 Red Alert Members that recognized he had been infected the others were Red, and Tornado Toinion. He also accepted that he would die either by Sigma or by the Maverick Hunters. He is seen as a complex or tragic figure. He was seen as a complex figure for a few reasons. First, after getting infected he did not really change. He recognized that he was going down the wrong road against his will. He also knew he had been infected as I stated. Yet he did not flee the organization like Axle did. Instead out of loyalty he did not leave. Therefore, he stayed and his loyalty lead to his downfall. On the other hand, he could be seen as a tragic figure. He still maintained his sense of honor after being infected. Unlike other mavericks he knew he had been infected which I have mentioned. He even asked the hunters to kill him. Thus, he could be considered tragic like Storm Eagle, Magnet Sigma, Blast Hornet, Blizzard Buffalo, Volt Catfish, Neon Tiger, The Skyver, and fellow Red Alert members Red as well as Toinion.
