Blast Hornet, is a reploid, cyborgs with human characteristics, that first appeared in Mega Man X3. He eventually went maverick, reploids that pose a danger to the world, during the events of Mega Man X3. Anyway, lets learn about Blast Hornet.

Blast Hornet is based off of a hornet. It is unknown who built him or who created him. At one time he was a high ranking officer in the Maverick Hunters. He was in the elite special 0 unit. When Maverick activity started breaking out in Doppler Town. He was sent to investigate the uprisings. Hornet had success hunting down the mavericks. However, he started to become infected with the Sigma Virus.

Due to being infected with the Sigma Virus Blast Hornet became a maverick and joined the uprising. Becoming a maverick altered Blast Hornets personality. He went from being cool and levelheaded, even in battle, to being very violent and hungry for destruction. In Doppler's army, later revealed to be Sigma, he was made an officer. He was ordered to protect a weapons manufacturing plant. He took over the weapons plant establishing it under maverick control. He would attack anyone who entered the factory. In a cut scene he is shown attack areas of Doppler Town for his own amusement.

Eventually, X and Zero had to invade the manufacturing plant. They encountered their former friend in battle. Due to the circumstances X and Zero had to destroy one of their former comrades. Blast Hornet was destroyed in battle. The manufacturing plant was liberated from maverick control.

Appearance- As I stated Blast Hornet is based off of a hornet. He is a large reploid. He has large wings, a large stinger, and a large antennae. It appears he is a blue, brown, and yellow colored reploid.

Personality- Before he became a maverick Blast Hornet had a cool personality. He was always calm and level headed. This proved to be effective as a Maverick Hunter. He was also known for his leadership abilities and that is why he was a high ranking officer. After becoming a maverck his personality changed. He became insane and very violent. He would use his hornet chasers to cause mass destruction. He enjoyed violence, anarchy and mass destruction.

Abilities- Hornet has the ability to fly around and attack ground based enemies. He also can send hornet chasers, which are mini versions of himself, as a weapon. He can fly for long periods. Due to being a hornet he is very fast.

Attacks-One of his main attacks is his mass sting attack. Hornet will use his long stinger to stab his opponents doing massive damage. His main attack is his hornet chaser attack. Hornet will fire 3-5 mini versions of himself to attack his opponents, the mini versions will explode after a while. His other attack is his search attack, that he will send mini versions to surround the player, chase them, and finally exploding.

Weaknesses- Blast Hornet is weak to Gravity Well. The gravity well increases his gravity which limits his ability to fly. Due to the increased gravity he cannot use his air attacks. Therefore, this weapon makes short work of him.

Overall, Blast Hornet is really a victim in the maverick wars similar to Blizzard Buffalo, Neon Tiger, Storm Eagle and others. Like the characters I mentioned he was an elite maverick hunter who later changed due to being infected. X and Zero felt guilty about destroying him just like they did with some of the other characters. This is because he was once their comrade, and due to his personality before he became a maverick. Blast Hornet is a very fast reploid with effective air attacks. Anyway, this concludes the Hornet bio.
