Have you ever skipped over a generation or two in pokemon? Just because you didn't find interest in the games or maybe in the anime. maybe you were tried of pokemon i general and took a break for a few gens then picked it back up now.

I have skipped gen 7. I have never played the sun and moons games, or the ultra versions. I know nothing about the pokemon from the gen. I came back to pokemon at gen 8 when Sword and Shield. I have encountered some gen 7 pokemon and had no idea if it was new to the region or not. Pokemon X?Y was the reason i dropped pokemon games for a good amount of time, i found X/Y to be lackluster.

I did not like Black and White all that much when they first came out. I just went back and played the older games over and over again. I played a decent amount of X/Y but never finished it. I actually enjoyed Sun and Moon, I thought they were more challenging than other Pokemon games which was a welcomed experience. I did not finish it however, just lost interest. I enjoyed Sword and Shield but also did not finish it haha. I got Scarlet and Violet and played through them with my brother and made it all the way through. They were a lot more fun than the most recent generations.

I haven't really skipped any generations yet. Thanks to Scarlet and Violet and reading about the DLCs I am probably going to skip the next generation unless they actually improve everything.

I beat scarlet and then tried going back to violet as my "main" game and I just haven't been able to get myself to beat the game again. Also read how grindy the DLC is for single player that I really just don't want to go through that since I am not a fan of the online side of things.

Honestly I keep going back mainly to the gen 5 games more than any of them. I think they are honestly my favorite.
