Tunnel Rhino is a reploid that appeared in Mega Man X3. Basically, reploids are cyborgs that have human features such as the ability to think for themselves, make their own decisions, feel, and they even have DNA. Rhino at some time went maverick, which are reploids that pose a danger to the world. Today we are going to be learning about him.

Tunnel Rhino is based off a rhino. He was originally created to be a miner. He was effective at being a miner due to being equipped with heavy drills. He could use his drill weapons to drill trenches into the mines and go deeper. In fact, he could go into the mines that humans could not reach. He was so effective at what he did that Doppler reached out to him to operate in the mines close to Doppler Town. Rhino being opportunistic accepted Dopplers invite and started to work in the mines near Doppler Town.

However, the invite was a ruse. Doppler had been infected with the Sigma Virus and started to spread the virus. Rhino eventually became infected. He was then ordered to not only mine for minerals so the mavericks could use them, but also to attack anyone who entered without Doppler's permission. Rhino turned the mines into a maverick base and as a result became a violent maverick.

When X and Zero start to destroy the mavericks in Doppler Town to get to the bottom on why Doppler and the mavericks went insane. They eventually encountered Tunnel Rhino in the mines. Knowing Rhinos past X and Zero hated to do it but they had to destroy him. Rhino put up a good fight but was destroyed by the two hunters. When Rhino gone the mines became accessible again and Sigma's mining operation was stopped.

Appearance- Tunnel Rhino as I have stated is based off a rhino. He appears to have green and orange armor. He has a drill for a horn, and drills for hands. His feet have wheels on them. He is also very tall.

Personality- Before being infected Rhino was a serious worker. He loved making trenches in the mines and providing help. Even though, the weapons could make him a violent reploid he was not. However, after getting infected his personality changed. He was now violent and very aggressive. Willing to attack anyone who entered the mines without permission.

Abilities- Rhino before becoming a maverick was a great miner as he could drill through heavy rock and go places that humans could not. When he became a maverick he started to use his drills as weapons. He can fire his drills to do damage. He is also a powerful maverick due to his weight and drills. Also, despite being bulky and heavy he is fast for his size. The wheels on his feet and his charge attacks make him move at a good clip for a maverick his size.

Attacks-Rhino will charge at opponents like an actual Rhino would. He will try to use his weight and drills to not only charge at his opponents by to gore them as well. He can also charge himself up allowing for a more powerful charge. If opponents try to jump on the wall he can use his drills to send opponents crashing back onto the battle floor. His most dangerous attack is his Tornado fang. When using his Tornado Fang Rhino will fire drills from his back and from his hands. The drills can not only hit the player but knock them down if they are on the wall. Another dangerous attack is his drill missiles. He will fire drills that drill into his opponents causing massive damage.

Weaknesses- His attacks while powerful are also simple. If the player times it right they can jump over him even when he drills into the wall. His main weakness though is the Acid Burst. The Acid Bursts corrodes his drills and armor. When using his weakness its easy to lock him into a pattern. The Acid Bursts also keeps him from using some of his other powerful attacks.

Tunnel Rhino along with Blizzard Buffalo, Neon Tiger, and Volt Catfish are often seen as victims in the X series. These 4 were peaceful reploids before being infected with the Sigma Virus. Rhino despite his weapons was not violent before being infected. After being infected he was totally changed. These 4 mavericks are the ones that X and Zero felt guilty about destroying from X3. The reason being is they all had important roles and were not violent before being infected. Therefore, these 4 mavericks are often considered victims similar to how Storm Eagle was in the first game. This concludes the Tunnel Rhino Bio.
