Morph Moth is a reploid, robots/cyborgs who share human characteristics such as DNA, feelings, logical thinking, and can make their own decisions, who appeared in Mega Man X2. He would eventually become a Maverick, reploids who are dangerous to the world, so lets learn about Morph Moth.

Morph Moth is based on a Moth and is likely based on the Moth Species Bagworm Moth. Not much is known about his history. He was Not built by Cain Labs. Whoever, built him gave him the ability to absorb junk to power himself up. It is likely he may have originally built to observe the world's junk. Whoever built him installed advanced circuits into him. This was supposed to keep him from going insane or maverick.

His advanced circuits failed and he became a Maverick. Sigma noticed his unique ability and powered him up even more. The X-Hunters, who were created by Sigma, ordered him to take over a robot Junk Yard. The Junk Yard contained the bodies of destroyed reploids who were labeled Maverick. Basically, the junk yard severed as a grave yard for destroyed reploids. Morph Moth job was to take the parts from destroyed repolids, restore them to build new mavericks. In addition, he was also to protect the junk yard as it was also being used by the X-hunters and Sigma to build new mavericks. Eventually, X tracked him down and destroyed him. With Morph Moth gone the Mavericks could no longer use the junk yard and factory.

Appearance- Morph Moth has two appearances. He first appears in a cocoon as he absorbs junk he grows in size. His second appearance is he emerges from his cocoon as an actual moth. He appears to be purple, yellow and red in color. When he is in his true form he is actually tall.

Personality- It is said he is a lazy type. However, he is effective at what he does even in combat. He is not very social this could be due to him being in his cocoon. When he is in his true form he is still not social. He does not like to interact with others.

Abilities- Morph Moth when in his cocoon form can absorb lots of junk to power himself up. He also appears to be able to alter from his cocoon to true form at will. He is deadlier in his moth form as he can fly, and even shoot lasers out.

Attacks-When he is in his cocoon form. He will throw long chains of trash or junk at his opponents. He will also cause the junk he is absorbing to rotate. In the meantime he is absorbing the junk to power himself up. Once he is powered up he will emerge into his true form. As a Moth he can dive at his opponents. He also can shoot lasers at his opponent. It should be noted when he is in his cocoon form he is slow and not very fast. However, when he is in his true form he is quick.

Weakness- He is week to the speed burner weapon. The Speed Burner weapon burns him up. One reason it could be his weakness is sometimes fire is used to burn junk. Another reason could be because he is a Moth.

If the player is able to defeat him they will get his powerful Slick Shot weapon. The Slick Shot can fire pieces of junk at enemies. It can also fire other projectiles depending on the state. In the Crystal Stage the slick shot will fire projectiles of junk covered with ice.

Morph Moth is a unique maverick as he has two forms he transforms into. His first is his cocoon phase which I have mentioned several times.
