So I've been working on this playlist for my upcoming wedding for months. I started working on it way before I got engaged lol. I think it's close to perfect at this point, but I would definitely like some opinions and feedback. A few notes before I drop the link:

-My favorite artists are Kanye West, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, JID, Smino, and Charli XCX.

-My fiancee's favorite artists are J. Cole, Charli XCX, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Melanie Martinez, and Kesha.

-There are certain songs that absolutely must be on the playlist, either because they have some kind of special meaning to one or both of us, or just because we both really like them. These songs include Every Rule, Lotus Flower Bomb, The Loneliest Time, Coconut Perfume, Numb Little Bug, Josslyn, Lost, Bound 2, Dance Now, Wet Dreamz, Fergalicious (as much as I hate that song...), See You Again (Tyler The Creator and Kali Uchis, not Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth), The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, and Pro Freak.

-This playlist is NOT meant to be shuffled. The order of the songs is extremely important, and is the part that I spent the most time curating. (Which songs to put at the beginning and which ones to put at the end, but also the order of the individual songs themselves. I wanted to create a playlist where each song transitioned well into the next.) The wedding reception starts at 4:00, and the music will start at that time with the first song in the playlist, then continue chronologically for as long as the reception lasts.

-The majority of our wedding guests will be middle-age white people, whose music taste likely does not align with ours. This is one of the reasons why the order of the songs is so important. The beginning of the playlist has more pop songs, and rap songs are integrated gradually over time, as people get more drunk and become less uptight. This also works with the general vibe of the night: more casual pop songs while people are talking and eating, more dance-able songs later on, after dinner.

-There will also be children as well as old people, meaning that explicit language will probably offend some. For this reason, I used the clean versions of songs whenever possible. There are a handful of songs that are explicit on the playlist, but I intentionally put them later on when people are less likely to care (due to the aforementioned drunkenness). I think the only songs people may object to based on language are Bound 2 and Bottoms Up, and maybe Wet Dreamz if they listen closely enough.

-It's a Long Island wedding. Hence all of the Billy Joel.

-She's from western PA and I'm from New York, so I thought the juxtaposition between Black and Yellow and Empire State of Mind was really neat.

-Song 119 (Goosebumps) is the last song of the playlist. Everything else after that was added in a fairly random order, just as extra in case the reception goes on later than anticipated.

Here's the link, let me know what you guys think!

It will be a day you want to look back at fondly so, I'm already impressed with the amount of effort you have done to curate this list in the first place.

It seems like a good mixture of songs. I can't really say much more as it's not really the sort of music I listen to really, but just keeping the playlist length and the length of your celebration is always a good thing to keep an eye on I suppose.
