How did the 3 free dlc updates change your opinion on the game?
(some minor spoilers for the final horizon update below)

The first update was probably the weakest for me I had a bit of fun having to play all the cyberspace levels in a row and using the homing dash tech to try and get ahead of the times I needed but then would get overconfident or not take some risks when I should but it wasn't too challenging. the battle rush ones were more annoying than challenging but it was fun to have a way to fight the titans again.

The 2nd while I didn't play around with it much at first I found super annoying with the score challenge thingys but after taking a few months off from trying them I beat almost everyone first try? idk if the ps5 somehow made it easier but they were super easy all of a sudden and the spindash was super fun to just go around the islands with.


As for the Final Horizon I think Sonic Team got tired of hearing how easy the game is cause they just said screw you fans and made the hardest challenges I've ever played in a Sonic game. I can't even begin to explain how mad some of the towers were making me as I was playing them at 2 am trying to power through it quickly to avoid spoilers. As for the other playable characters it's really cool to have Amy, Tails, and Knuckles playable again but the fact they are basically useless in combat means that the only time I ever wanna play as someone besides Sonic is Tails for the tornado which helps eliminate the issue I had with the draw distance making it hard to tell where the platforming challenge I was trying to do even started. Also I would be remised if I didn't mention the perfect parry crap the game all of a sudden asks of you that feels near frame perfect with the wacky hitboxes of the titans I was seriously questioning if a Sonic game was going to take the title of the hardest game I'd ever played for a minute but eventually I beat the stupid titans also love the audacity of the new super sonic form giving you the perfect parry and calling it an upgrade, but the fight is so hype that it was kinda worth it.

Also worth noting but I don't remember when it was added but the ability to keep momentum while jumping made the game just feel so much better then it did when it first released. it my review I gave the game a 9.2 which looking back I think was a bit of an overreaction just due to not enjoying a Sonic game in 10 years but I think I feel more confident in that 9.2 after the updates.
