Dive Man is a robot master in the classic Mega Man series line. He is an aquatic robot master. Here is a bio about him.

Dive mine was built from a submarine by Dr. Cossack. He was originally built to protect the Coral Reefs, shipping and he was designed to work with coast guard like agencies. His main weapon was a homing missile.

However during the events of Mega Man 4 Dive Man was either modified by Cossack or reprogrammed by Dr. Wily. Wily had blackmailed Cossack. He is listed as a Wily number robot master. This hints he was modified/reprogrammed by Dr. Wily. He was sent after Mega Man. He was defeated by Mega Man.

After the events of Mega Man 4 he went back to work with Cossack and went back to patrolling the sea. He still has his homing missile weapon. However, he can also turn himself into a drill torpedo to do serious damage.

Since he is based off of a submarine he has excellent hearing with sonar and radar. Moreover, he is a fast swimmer. He also likes protecting the marine life and coral reefs. Unlike Bubble Man Dive man can function on land. Bubble Man has to hope on land to move due to a defect. Dive Man has a minor defect in him that causes him to get sea sick in very deep rater. This is why he has to come to the surface a few times.

His personality is that of an honest person with honor. Before he Met Dr.Wily he had a sense of Honor. After he was freed from Wily this returned.

Dive man hates Pirate Man. This is because Pirate Man being a Pirate will attack ships and does not care about Coral Reefs. While Dive Man was built to protect those at sea, and the marine ecosystem.


In Battle Dive Man can be a worthy opponent. He can move very fast in the water. He likes to use his weight as his advantage, fire homing missiles, and he can launch himself like a torpedo. His weakness appears to be Skull Shield and Dust Crusher.
