Trigger warning suicide



























someone tried to kill themselves by jumping from a building today and you know the people around me and me tried to laugh it off cause there’s no easy way around that subject.
But i couldn’t help thinking that could have been me. That still could be me. It’s so sad thinking that there is no way out of your life’s situations except by death. That could have been and could still have been me. I hope they get the help they need. I hope to keep pushing forward in life. I hope everyone finds a way through life. Whether you’re lost now, know what you’re doing, or see no end in sight. I hope we all figure things out. I wish everyone the best of luck. I wish upon the hundred million stars in the sky that we make it together. That we live our lives to the fullest in the best way we can in every moment. The people survived and that kind of shook me. That I could have attempted something thinking that it was the way out. But living anyway…..fate, gods, or whatever can decide that’s it’s not our time to go even though we think it is the escape we were going for. They jumped from the 27th floor and lived…. I wish there was an easy way out sometimes. But it’s never guaranteed.

Even though I'm a Meteorologist not a psychologist. Suicide is one of those topics that nobody still knows how to talk about it. A lot of times when one attempts suicide they are often judged and ridiculed this often leads to more feelings of being isolated or alone. On the other hand, when a person does try to get help they are still often judged.

In my opinion I think we need to erase the negative stigma on getting help and just mental health in general. I am a Christian and I'm glad to see a lot of church's are starting to do that.

When someone has attempted suicide or is showing signs. People will often say oh they are not strong enough, can't take, they need to get over it. Then you have those oh he or she is mentally ill we cannot be friends with them. These are some of the worst things you can say to somebody who is showing signs of suicide or has attempted it.

Man, reading your post... I can't even imagine the emotions you mustve felt seeing that. It’s tough, real tough. And I totally get it, sometimes the weight of the world feels so dang heavy and you just kinda wanna... you know, find an exit. But like you said, sometimes fate, God, or the universe has other plans.

I'm really glad that person survived and I hope they get the support care they desperately need. But also, I hope you, me, and everyone here finds the strength to keep pushing forward. Life’s a real beast sometimes, but there are moments of clarity, love, and even happiness in between the storms.It's wild how life works sometimes, right? We see something and suddenly we're faced with our own vulnerabilities and struggles. Just know you’re not alone in this. We all have our dark times, but we also have each other to lean on.

Thank you for sharing and being so open about your feelings. It takes courage to do that. I’m sending positive vibes and hope your way. Remember, the stars shine the brightest in the darkest nights.
