yeah we're doing another one, so you want an idea of how popular Arthur was? I'll tell you some fans noticed that some episodes weren't books previously, though some books didn't get made into episodes (like for one thing Arthur's Nose....back when he looked a little more like an aardvark. and Arthur's Thanksgiving that didn't get made into an episode, actually most of the holiday books didn't get made into episodes of the tv show, though they did make an hour long holiday special that PBS airs...not every year but once in awhile, I'm actually sorry that Arthur Meets the President became DW Goes to Washington (I don't know what her problem is I would love to see the Smithsonian, I would have loved to have seen the Library of Congress....if it meant I could watch the 11 episodes of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego that aren't on Youtube) Arthur's Computer Disaster Adventure is one of them....yeah they changed the name of the story because I guess they didn't want anything bad to happen or something, a good chunk of the episodes actually got made into chapter books, good idea, because I wanted to see a print version of Locked in the Library or Arthur Accused (this is not sarcasm I actually did try to look them up.

Gameplay And Story: Based on the Arthur episode Arthur the Wrecker, but formatted to the book Arthur's Computer Disaster in Living Books mode. The Brain (real name Alan) has lent Arthur his copy of Deep Dark Sea, his mother will let him play it after Dinner and he spends a good chunk of the night on the computer. Buster comes over to play it the next day but Jane (Arthur's mother's name....isn't it nice how somehow we learn the first names of a majority of the kids parents as the series went on? it's just like the Simpsons minus the angry mob formation at the drop of a hat, and minus the wacky neighbour who needs to concentrate on saving his own soul, well at least Elwood City isn't a corrupt city, and The Crosswires are nothing like Mr.Burns, though I do have to admit, Arthur did kind of borrow some elements from the Simpsons like the snow removal business turning friends into bitter rivals, I could go on otherwise I would just be ranting) informs them the computer is off limits today because it's tax season and needs to computer (this was written before a time when everyone had personal computers, if Jane had a laptop one issue would be partially resolved but then the big computer would be just for the whole family to use) but then she has to go to the office for awhile and of course....they go behind her back and use it with DW threatening to tell dad, of course something bad happens and they want to avoid telling their parents, the Brain can't help, it's too expensive for a house call so they wait for their mom to come back....it turns out their mother has had that problem with the computer before but she knew how to fix it this whole time....(and yeah the keyboard can be easily plugged back in too) but Arthur doesn't come out of it unscathed he's still barred from using the computer for a week for disobeying his mother, but then his mother gets addicted to the game as well.

Graphics: by this point everyone looks like their tv series selves, though when you do get to play Deep Dark Sea the diver in this game looks suspiciously like Arthur, but the graphics look fantastic in the Deep Dark Sea portion of the game. Also the game actually moves differently than most living books titles.

Soundtrack: There are some bits that sound like it's from the tv shows...why couldn't they have gotten the voice actors from the tv show to do this?, I wanted to save this for my review of Arthur's Teacher Trouble but I had been watching enough of the show long enough to cringe whenever other people were voicing the characters. Though Arthur and Buster's voice actors come pretty close. btw I neglected to bring up that Living Books was in the same division as Broderbund Software the same people that gave us Carmen Sandiego, so when playing Deep Dark Sea we actually hear a sound byte from that game.

Addictive: Well I haven't played it enough to consider it addictive however I will be playing it again sometime soon for silent Sunday, this time I plan on playing all the levels of Deep Dark Sea...but really that should be an extras video.

Depth: Did you ever wish you could have you played Deep Dark Sea? They offer you the chance here! (because hey they might as well they tease a cool game like that in the show and here) They keep the old opening where you decided which mode you want to play in, plus they have alot more activities to offer this time around.

Difficulty: It's not really difficult it's another Living Books game where the story is either read to you or you play inside it, but it depends on how well you do the activities I don't know what else is offered besides Deep Dark Sea I haven't gone deeper yet because I downloaded the game mostly for the big Arthur Marathon I did earlier this year (maybe I'll share it on the youtube video page)

Post review Follow up: So I guess this was one of the last Arthur titles to come out of living books before Broderbund went under but at least towards the end Living Books went out with a bang, I just wish that The Learning Company did something with them.

This concludes my review, join me tomorrow when I review....DW the Picky Eater, well that's going to be interesting even though I'd rather talk about her in Arthur's Reading Race but that's not coming for quite awhile

Okay so I underestimated the number of mini games you play in this game and believe me there are several aside from getting to play Deep Dark Sea, you can play with Arthur's Helicopter, colour in one of DW's colouring books, play her treasure hunt game, and play in her little store....but I'll have to do those as a separate extras video one day because I have so little time on my hands it's so annoying sometimes
