I'm excited to get to watch pokemon news with Ian again as me and him pretty much always do but more so I really hope for something that makes me wanna play the remakes but at this point if it's straight D/P then I probably won't play it but if people are excited for it I'm happy for them. Legends Arceus is already really hype I can't wait to see what they'll show about it tomorrow.

Finally we'll get some news, people on the internet were thirsty for official material so they can start bombarding the net with their crazy theories and fake leaks xD

I'll only catch the news out of curiosity for the franchise, I'm done with core Pokemon games (still on the waiting list for New Pokemon Snap though). But I want to see how the franchise develops, what new things they introduce and all those things. I wonder what special dynamic will be applied, we've seen Mega Evolutions, then Dynamax and also regional forms, so we'll have to see which one is included here, but hopefully not more than one.

As for Legends, I guess I'll have to see what the game is about and see if it catches my interest. So far looks like a promising concept, if we're shown further gameplay that'd be amazing.

Well since it has broadcasted already I guess we can talk about it?

I am still kinda hesitating on the remakes because the potential platinum remake also unless that becomes a post game content like omega ruby and alpha sapphire. One thing I saw that mainly has me interested is that walking pokemon return and not restricted to just one area.



Legends Arceus side I am still wanting to get it but I find it more interesting that they showed off that pokemon will not only battle but even attack the player. That makes me wanting to see all the type of moves they will use on you.

I'm gonna really enjoy the MOBA, but more importantly, Arceus is looking quite sweet. I think it still needs some graphical tune ups, as Game Freak really isn't delivering on that front since their move to HD. However, it's probably the most interesting Pokémon game I've seen in forever. I'm really excited to use the dodge rolls.

I'm not touching the Diamond and Pearl remakes with a ten foot pole. They're a huge disappointment to me.

After watching the thing this morning I have a few thoughts starting with BDSP I actually feel like they showed enough to make me consider replaying sinnoh maybe to just get the stupid last pokemon I've never had in my dex being purugly I really like the outfits that were shown off and idk how contests worked in sinnoh as I never did them but the rhythm game looking part looks fun enough to make me torture myself with contests again after ORAS I also liked the the new underground segments where I imagine we'll have access to plat dex mons or maybe it was confirmed I never played D/P only Plat so Idk if Houndoom was in D/P though thinking about it I thought only chimchar's line and Ponyta was in D/P. Legends looks amazing Standler got an evolution was crazy and then the best water type Unova Pokemon got one too I was losing my mind for that I'll definitely have to use one on my team. I really like how there keeping Arceus involvement in the game mysterious but at this point I just want the game out already it looks great no 2 fps Pokémon in sight this go around with the trailer.

Well, I'm a MOBA fan. It doesn't matter whether the MOBA is bad or not, imma try it. Especially with Snorlax in it, I mean, come on!

As for BD/SP. Well I don't see the point. Sure, they remade it in 3D, but barely. It's the same scale essentially, and I find the shadows they used just strangely dark. The trailer was cool, but myself and many other fans I've seen around really wanted something on par with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Something equivalent to a mainline entry visually, which is what every other remake has been so far,

Now, considering Game Freak is tied up with Arceus, we probably wouldn't have gotten it if they hadn't outsourced the remake, and I certainly prefer a creative new property to a nice remake. However, I know there are many who have done nothing but talk about these remakes for years, and as an empath, I feel their disappointment over the smaller scale of it than prior ones.

After watching it, my priorities seem to have flipped compared to how it originally was.

BDSP looked great. Definitely much better than my previous expectations, and definitely much better than the first trailer they showed off. I was not at all impressed by the first trailer and honestly was just going to write the game off, but now this is a definite play for me.

Arceus however... kinda failed to impress me like it did the first time. Although I will say at the very start, it is no fault of Game Freak's. The game looks great, for a Switch game - but therein lies the problem. It's far too ambitious for that piece of junk hardware. I like the general aesthetic they were going for but honestly the backgrounds just look like s***, but I'm nearly positive it's the Switch's fault that it simply couldn't handle better backgrounds lol. However, I am attracted to the general concept and idea of the game and am definitely looking forward to it, considering it will be an entirely new experience instead of the same old Pokemon formula we're used to for so long now. It just did not take the graphical leap I was hoping it would, and it's a bit jarring. Of course, it's also got more time in development, so things could still change for the better.

Minuano : It's being released after the OLED Switch comes out, maybe the bigger screen helps?

I'm definitely excited for Arceus but I'm not too enthusiastic about DP if it's just graphical upgrades. There's for sure things I'd love to experience on a bigger screen but there isn't too much else that I'm hyped about.

I would have preferred if Game Freak did the remake themselves and then just did Arceus afterwards but Nintendo is pushing so hard to get a ton of games out at once.

I cannot wait for the Sinnoh region remakes! Loved playing Pokemon Pearl on my ds back in the day, but looking back at it, the games turned out to be the longest/hardest games to catch every pokemon in and plays really slowly in comparison to even PAST games. I'm even more excited for Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Allysa8th : The publisher has full control over when the game is released, not who has the license. Kind of like what happened with Sonic Colors, everyone's now saying that Sega forced the game to be released on time even though it wasn't ready.

The Pokemon games could have been released further apart so that Game Freak could have done both, but the release dates were all set in stone by Nintendo, so there was no choice but to outsource in the first place.
