I recently watched that anime series, I got Aokana -Four Rhythm Across the Blue- physically and what can I say? I really like the series, Aokana is based on a hentai visual novel developed by Sprite, in the anime series (unlike the game apparently) the main character is Asuka Kurashina, she is starting a new year of high school on Kuna Island, there, ''students don't walk to class...they fly!'' In the world of Aokana -Four Rhythm Across the Blue- there are anti-gravity shoes and said invention resulted in the creation of a fictional sport, Flying Circus. On the back of the box it says ''The sky is not her limit'' and that's totally true, Asuka Kurashina is a great character and you can't help but cheer her up
In the visual novel Aokana -Four Rhythms Across the Blue-, Masaya Hinata can engage in romantic relationships with other characters, he is the couch of the girls in the story, and in the anime series there isn't any romance, the relationship between Masaya Hinata and the girls is completely platonic, and that's fine, if one wants romance or sex, you can play the visual novel itself, it's obvious that there are some differences between the game and the anime series when it comes to the story and scenes, in any case, as someone who hasn't played the visual novel but has watched the anime series, I can say for sure that Aokana -Four Rhythm Across the Blue- is an anime series worth watching, it may not be the best anime series of all time, far from it maybe, but personally, I really like the series and I recommend it, it's an enjoyable story that involves a fictional sport, there are funny moments, endearing (more or less) scenes or interactions, the characters are likable for the most part, the music is great, and I really like the English voice acting, I gave Funimation the benefit of the doubt for this series, and yeah, the translation should be more accurate (or at least less liberal) than other translations by Funimation, as far as I know, Monica Rial and Jamie Marchie (ugh...) were not involved with the dub and translation in the slightest, and in my opinion, the English voice acting is great for the most part, Masaya Hinata is voiced by Adam Gibbs, Asuka Kurashina is voiced by Jill Harris (she sounds a little like Kira Buckland if I remember well)...Rika Ichinose is voiced by Cristina Valenzuela! Overall, a good cast for a series with great English voice acting. I don't think I could play the game after watching the series, considering that I really like the English voices, heh heh heh...
So...have you watched Aokana -Four Rhythm Across the Blue-? Would you watch the series? I recently watched that anime series, I got Aokana -Four Rhythm Across the Blue- physically and what can I say?
