Hello world! ★ Zeca here.

Hope everyones doing well and keeping healthy during these trying times.

Other than going to the local arcade and video game store, I also miss going to record stores on the daily. New York and New Jersey are treasure-trove states when it comes to hunting down records. I love to collect first-pressing records from bands that I admire (Stereolab, Sea and Cake, The High Llamas are my top three favorite bands to collect for). I also miss going to CD centric stores to continue filling up my CD shelf.

I think my prized possession in my record collection is a limited edition pressing of Emperor Tomato Ketchup by Stereolab. It is a goldenrod yellow record with gold glitter embedded into it... a dream!!!

★ Anyone here enjoy listening to analog formats of music?
★ If so, do you collect records and/or CDs?
★ If so, what are your prized possessions in your collection?
★ If theres any other format of analog of music you collect, comment below!

No records but I have a bunch of CD's. I have a handful from my favorite musicians and a bunch from movies and Broadway shows, many of them are signed too.

My favorite is a very limited edition soundtrack from the movie Interstellar. The box has a display that projects constellations and one of the most iconic tracks from the movie could only be found in this edition for a long time.

I picked it up when it was first released and just a month or two afterwards, not only was it sold out, but people were reselling it for like $300.

zecato : For me personally i'm not really fussed what format the music is on. Music is music to me. No matter what it's played on the same song will still make me feel the same emotions and such.

I don't collect physical formats though honestly.. I just don't have the room for it. It's the same as Video games... If i had the physical room to have them i would but i do not sadly.

Due to that i can't really answer the last two questions.. As the only physical CD i think i have right now is a birthday massacre cd lol.

My grandma has a lot of records from when they were popular at first (Before they got popular again), even bought a music player box supporting vinyls, CDs, and tapes. So we use them a lot, she also owns a lot of CD's which is what I use due to me being an audiophile wanting lossless digital audio.

My collection is approximately 2 CDs, the only album released by American Pearl, and the first album by Lindsey Sterling.

I used to always want CD's for music, but now I'm a digital guy like probably most of my friends are. I find it much easier to play songs on my laptop or phone, and sometimes I play songs on my Bluetooth speaker.

There's so much music I like, and I got Google Play gift cards for my birthday, so I know I will keep getting plenty of albums off of Google Play.
