No, trauma (especially singular) does not specifically lead to tumors or cancer. It can elevate the effects of a pre-existing tumor, but it will never cause one to form. Studies and experiments have been performed on this line of thought, and they were not successful in causing a tumor through trauma.

What likely happened here is that the tumor was already there, but was unknown to the family until she had gone to the hospital after the fight.

Trauma can't create a tumor but it can help a tumor that's hidden, grow in mass and such.

Which is great for me as an epileptic who probably has hit their head/multiple parts of their body severly when having seizures etc.
