So in the state that I live in, the beautiful and way too long of a name for a state, Pennsylvania, has these amazing things called car inspections. The way it works in my state is once a year, you need to go to a certified mechanic, have them look in and out of the car to check to see if it runs alright, checking off things on a checklist basically, and they give you a thumbs up and a shiny sticker to put on your windshield to say "Hey world. My car can function properly" and tells the cops "Hey. Don't pull me over. Its within date"

But I've also learned that it isn't a nation-wide thing in the united states. Such as Florida not having to have car inspections

I sort of came up with the idea of this thread under the fact that my car inspection just went out about 3 hours from this post. Shhh. Don't tell anyone. That being said, I do plan on fixing that within a week due to not having the money for the last part for my car that I need for it to pass inspection.

Car Inspections are required here in the UK by law. I've never had to actually bother with it myself as i'm not allowed to drive anyways but over here it's called a M.O.T

If you get caught driving a vehicle without one you usually get a fine of about £100, so about $120- $150.. although that can go up to £1000 ($1200-$1500)

I assume it's so that no cars are on the streets legally that are basically faulty and could cause a higher chance of creating a major incident.

At least you know in a small way that mad max's crew isn't going to come after you yet, not until his car is mot worthy lol

As we've talked about before Ohio doesn't require car inspections, and even if they did I can't drive yet so I guess it wouldn't really matter to me if they did or not. I hope you can get your car fixed soon.

Fortunately, I too, live in the lovely state of Ohio, so no car inspections for me. I think that is a pretty dumb thing to have to do anyway. If my car needs fixed, i'll get it fixed. I don't need the governments stamp of approval on my car. That isn't the government's job.
