I've changed the way screenshots are displayed on a game's page by completely rebuilding the feature from the ground up. It's actually been an on going project for a while now with many hours invested. I've always thought that the site's most valuable user contributed content is the screenshots. We have more screenshots then most gaming websites out there but having so many means we needed a better way of displaying them.
The new system makes it easy to navigate the pictures based on system, game, user and category and it also offers a few useful ways to order the screenshots. Clicking a screenshot gives you a full page to view the screenshot and lots of features to edit the screenshot if you're the owner or a staff member. Click the screenshot again (or clicking back) simply takes you right back to the screenshot results so you can easily continue navigating without losing the spot you left off.
There are a few ways of seeing this new feature in action.
Screenshots from Game Pages
The screenshot widget is embedded on every game page and is shrunk down by default. Hovering over it will expand it. Here's an example:

I've kept the old screenshot slot there for the time being until I'm completely finished (I'm like 99% finished, just doing but testing). It's also handy for doing a side by side comparison. Clicking the title of it will take you to the game's page within the actual screenshot feature. Here's an example of that:

Note that when viewing in this mode, you're not able to navigate the screenshots as seamlessly but you do at least get a URL that can be copy and pasted.
Screenshots from Screenshot Navigator
The link to this page can be found in the Video Game Room and also here:

This basically lets you navigate through all of the screenshots on the site.
