I have heard and read that many people say that Pokemon has lost its good quality since the Jhoto Region. Personally, I am in favor of this opinion because of three things.

1)The storylines are repetitive/unoriginal

2)The producers are constantly making more and more powerful legendary pokemon. I am not saying that Arceus or whatever it's called is not cool, It's just that the newer legendary pokemon are taking up a "godlike" role and cannot be compared to or fight anything other then itself.

3)The starting theme song. The old theme songs actually described what the show pokemon was really about. Now, the themesong talks about, what? Being a hero? Survival? I'm sure that Ash can survive, thank you. Here's the link I saw all the theme songs and tell me if I am wrong.

well honestly i like diamond/pearl/platinum, i haven't played much of the gba games but what i have played i like. i think a lot of what it is is that people have a set image in their mind of what the game should be and when it isnt like that in real life they dont like it as much. i am not saying that is defiantly it or that everyone is like that. i personally think its fun seeing the new legendaries and the only truly god like pokemon i can think of is arceus.

I cant see the purpose of this thread as there are lots of discussions about it in the pokemon forum already.
