Sonic the Hedgehog - SNES A Sonic game on a Nintendo system! What madness is this? Interesting to play through aside the glitches
Phantasy Star II EasyType This really helps since you don't need to conserve your tp or items as much. Plus the tedious grinding isn't necessary.
Final Fantasy Redux I can't find the canoe at Crescent Lake the npc doesn't give it to me.Is that a bug or has it been moved? I beat Lich before hand
Resident Evil (prototype 2) So I've been playing this but I'm stuck where you normally insert the eagle/wolf medals into the fountain, is it possible to do this or wasn't the game developed to the end?

Super Back to the Future Part 2 (english translation)

Great scott Marty! It's a good back to the future game!
Great Scott, I come from the future of 2023.I saw this game from the angry video game episode when he reviewed the back to the future games.

Compared to the others, yes this is a better game. It's not a masterpiece but at least it follows the plot of Back to the future part 2.

Graphics. It's very colourful, detailed for each level from the past, present & future. Marty & the other characters look like their film counterparts aside from having big heads.

Sound The Theme from Back to the future plays for various levels with variations which can get tedious but its good they used a proper version of it compared to the other games.

Addictive I might pick it up again after finishing it but there aren't many secrets to find.

Story, The story follows Back to the future part 2, you go from the future of 2015, then alternate 1985 then the past in 1955 to change history after Biff used the Almanac to change history for the worst.

Depth: Each time area consists of Marty clearing stages by reaching the goal, avoiding enemies & obstacles. Followed by a boss fight with Griff, Biff in alternate 1985, his lackeys & finally Biff in 1955.

Difficulty: This is a difficult game, but due to how stiff the controls are for jumping & attacking. Marty is always on a hoverboard which limits what he can do.

Marty can jump, skate along faster & spin to attack enemies & obstacles like projectiles.

It took me many tries to finish some levels, I used save states, the worst areas were with spikes, floating balls & places with some boss fights where you have to use switches to damage them, jumping on them doesn't work. It's an interesting idea to use switches etc to hurt bosses, rather than just jumping on their heads.

overall it was a fun game to play, it's a shame it wasn't released outside of Japan.
Sonic - The Lost Land

Lost Land A challenge
I enjoy playing hacks of various Sonic games so I though I'd try this out.

The music changes are interesting, levels are challenging especially the later ones. Bosses needing 8+hits made it a bit more tedious.

The enemy hitboxes felt slightly off since sometimes I'd get hit while trying to avoid or jump on them.

Memorising the levels is important to avoid the death pits which felt cheap at times.

It's a fun hack to play & I'm going to try out the Lost Land 2.
Super Boy 4

Superboy 4 A review
So Super boy 4 the last game made by Zemina.

I've played through every Super boy game, this one isn't as frustrating as the other 3, with movement being still slippery when moving/jumping.

It controls are better than its predecessors, the difficulty isn't too high, but there are some challenging parts of the game. Stages wise it felt shorter, with only 4 worlds but no bosses at all, no koopa, bowsers or anything.

Power ups seemed more frequent less random, gaining lives for coins was easier & the fire flower powerup was actually useful.

Good

Its based on Super Mario World, but the music sounds like its from other games.

Glitches include weird hitboxes for enemies, you can get stuck jumping over certain blocks or being able to just jump over what looks like a dead end to get across gaps.

Some enemies are invincible & the only way you can kill them is if you have the fire flower powerup, but the way the fireballs shoot it can be useless.

Red shells, giant fish, the Boo ghosts & these floating black balls cant be killed by jumping on them, but other enemies can. In the later stages some enemies require 2-3 jumps to kill them. In the final level you need to kill 2 giant frogs by jumping on them to progress in the level as stone pillars block your path.

Graphics look ok some enemies look like they've been taken from another game, like the flying butterflies, caterpillars & giant frogs.

Sound the music is repetitive.

Addictive You would only play this once & be done with it.

Story. there's no story or explanation. At the end you get a scene between Super Boy & the princess but its creepy with their soulless eyes staring at you with The End appearing.

Depth Its the usual keep going through the stages grab the jewel from the star box to progress.

Difficulty I'd give it a 7. Its not too hard but because of the slippery ... Read the rest of this Review
Metal Sonic in Sonic 3 & Knuckles

Metal Sonic & Knuckles
So Metal Sonic in Sonic 3 & knuckles

It's an interesting hack using Metal due to its abilities.

Graphics 8: I grew up with this game it looks great despite being nearly 30 years old. Metals graphic look good but the sprite for when you gain a continue looks off, also there's no sprite of it when you enter the bonus stages.

Sound: 8 I love the soundtrack, its stuck in my head since I was a kid growing up in the 90s. The music did sound a bit off at times, in the special stages & some zones where the sound would get quiet or lag.

Addictive 6: I'd go back to it just to get all 14 emeralds & finish with solo Metal etc.

Story hasn't changed from the original, stop Dr Robotnik.

Depth 6: Aside from playing as Metal, not much to offer unless you really want to explore the game. Using it was fun but movement felt a bit slippery with Metal, especially in the super form, also the dash jump sometimes didn't register & I'd miss a jump.

Difficulty 5: S3&K isn't a hard game, even the final stages can be cleared with practice & watching the boss patterns.

It was a fun hack & hopefully Metal will be in other Sonic games.

Super Boy I
08-12-23 11:58 AM
Super Boy...oh its Super something alright
So Superboy, a ripoff of Super Mario Bros for the MSX & then ported to the Master System

Graphics: It looks horrible that it offends my eyes

Sound: A shorter version of the SMB theme that gets annoying

Addictive: No thanks

Story: There's no story, no princess to rescue or anything.

Depth: 4 worlds from the OG but then it repeats back to 1 when you clear it

Difficulty: It's tough since powerups are random, enemies & projectiles like fireballs seem to go around in a random pattern making certain areas such as world 2-2/2-3 very frustrating. It's unfairly balanced.

for a bootleg its ok but I'm surprised Nintendo didn't sue them to oblivion.
