Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan

Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles: Mutants in manhattan review
Hello! So I’ve been a ninja turtles fan for a few years now and the games have been rather lack-luster since I got in to it. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the shadows (The game, not the new movie) was bearable at best. So when I heard that a new ninja turtles game made my platinum was in the works I was quite excited for it. I knew that platinum had made really good games in the past. I also played a bit of transformers devastation, a game that I really did enjoy. Was it any good? Well, let’s find out: Graphics: 9/10 Probably the best thing about this game is its awesome graphics. Like transformers devastation it is cel shaded. And it looks gorgeous; hands down the best looking ninja turtles game of all time. One complaint you might have about the graphics is the environment. A lot of the game is played in the sewers and sewers aren’t going to look very flashy. But I didn’t really mind because the sewers are the sewers and it’s supposed to be dark. When it does go out of the sewers it is very lively and feels pretty big. Let’s talk about the character models, the best thing about the graphics for sure. The ninja turtles aren’t based on a specific version of the turtles, rather it’s a mix of all the popular versions. They don’t look incredibly detailed but they do look very nice. About the cut scenes. The cut scenes are definitely prevalent and they look fantastic. The cel shading really helps the cut scenes here.   Gameplay: 6/10 This is where the game falls flat.  It’s a hack and slash, but could also be classified as a beat em’ up.  You go through repetitive missions like defusing bombs, bringing a weird ball to a certain location, etc. Until you ultimately fight a boss.   The gameplay can be too chaotic at times and some of it is a farce. To give you an example of this, in the first training stage it teaches you to dodge and parry, but in the... Read the rest of this Review
Call of Duty 2

Call Of Duty 2 review
Call of duty is a franchise that has definitely seen its ups and downs. Mostly when people talk about the ups it’s the same, Modern warfare 1 and 2, black ops 2 and world at war. Those are some of the ones that come to mind the most. But there is one game that is up there as well that doesn’t get mentioned as much as those; Call of duty 2. This was another WW2 call of duty game. The game was released in 2005, 2 years after the Call of duty 1 was released and 1 year before Call of duty 3. The Mac and mobile versions (yes this game surprisingly had a mobile version) were both released in 2006. Note that I am reviewing the PC version, so some things like the online might differ with the consoles.   Graphics: 9/10 An important thing to discuss when talking about the graphics is that it was released in 2005, When the weapons and details, etc were not as detailed as we are used to now.  While now the game may look a bit blocky at times and a bit gray and brown at the time it looked fantastic and in my opinion is one of the best looking FPS games its generation. The tanks look massive and the nazi buildings have a great presence to them. Overall the graphics look pretty good good, and looked fantastic for its time.   Gameplay: 8/10 This is the classic call of duty formula, scripted events galore. The gameplay is not the most complex for an FPS, but it is really fun, and in the end that’s most important. I mentioned the scripted events, and those are a big part of this game. Unpredictable at first and generally really cool these events really add a nice layer of depth in to the game.   Depth: 7/10 Now, this game used to be an active online experience but 10 years later that’s not the case anymore. While there are some people left it’s not very active anymore, so you’ll pretty much only be playing CoD 2 for the awesome campaign. It isn’t very long, but it’ll keep you busy ... Superhot

Superhot... cup of tea. SUPERHOT REVIEW
Hello, there.   So, I recently I was watching some totalbiscuit and stumbled upon a video he made about a game called Superhot. It looked really interesting so I got it It’s an indy game developed and published by the superhot team.   It was released in February of this year to overwhelmingly positive reviews.     Gameplay: 10/10 Now I think I just have to start this review off talking about the gameplay because it is the most interesting thing about this game. You see, this is an FPS game where time only moves when you move. Sounds crazy, and well it is. But the amount of strategy this mechanic adds is awesome. Sometimes when there are a lot of enemies with guns around you just stand still to look around and see what you have to do. But the gameplay is way more complex than just that. You can pick up pretty much every object, glasses, balls, etc. and throw them on your enemies, they will drop their weapon and you’ll pick it up. But these objects can be broken if your enemies shoot it. Also, one hit death, might sound awful since you’re really outnumbered, but it just makes it so much more fun. If this game had a health bar it would be a lot less fun. Overall the gameplay is just perfect and I can’t think of a problem.         Graphics: 9/10 Now, this game’s art style is really polarizing, you either love it or hate it. Now obviously since I gave the graphics a 9 I love it. This game has a very simplistic art style, you’re a very simple completely black figure, and all the enemies are red. Most of the rest is completely white.   But this game’s graphics fit the game really, really well. The game’s menu looks like an old computer interface which is really neat.   Now if you’ve never played the game, the graphics might look unimpressive, but it really fits the game well, the game itself is very mysterious, and if the graphics would be fl... Dragon Ball Z - Supersonic Warriors

Dragon Ball Z SuperSonic warriors: Gotta collect those rings. Oh no wrong game.
DRAGON BALL Z: SUPERSONIC WARRIORS REVIEW Okay so, a while back I was at my friend’s house and we played this game, I didn’t really think this was a good game to review, until I started thinking about it, and thought y’know what this would make for a great review. So here it is. GRAPHICS: 7/10 The graphics in this game are stellar, the character models look great, and the energy blasts are also very good looking and represent the series well. But the reason that I don’t give the graphics a higher score is because of the backgrounds, I found them to be quite boring, and uninspired. And while you might think that that’s a nitpick, I don’t really think that it is. I find backgrounds to be pretty important in not only a fighting game, but especially a dragon ball game.   Depth: 9/10 There is a real good amount of things to do in this game. There is a story for every character on the game, and z battle mode, these are the 2 biggest modes in the game and there is quite a bit of time to put in to it. Of course there is also your regular exhibition mode, and I found that the multiplayer mode (I used multiplayer mode on my phone on a gba emulator with a friend) really, really fun.   Difficulty: 6/10 There are 3 different difficulty levels in this game, beginner, easy, and normal. Beginner is really, and I mean really easy, It’s probably even too easy for beginners as it doesn’t give you a big enough challenge to even learn anything, easy I think is a better way to start off if you’re a beginner, it gives enough of a challenge to learn all of the controls and other important stuff, but isn’t too difficult. Normal is well, normal. The game is not very difficult even in normal mode, but it definitely isn’t too easy either, it’s less difficult than most fighting games in my opinion. Gameplay: 7/10 The gameplay in this game is really quite simple for a fighting game, b... Read the rest of this Review

Kids, don't forget. Eat... Your... Spinach!!!!!!! Review for: Popeye On GameBoy!
Donkey Kong in the arcades, One of the greatest games of all time, one of the most revolutionary games of all time… Was supposed to be a game about a sailor who smokes a pipe, and eats spinach. Yes. Donkey Kong was going to be a Popeye game. If Nintendo could’ve gotten the rights, Mario would’ve been… Popeye! Donkey Kong would’ve been Bluto. It’s all up to debate if Nintendo would’ve invented Mario, anyway. But one thing is certain: Mario would’ve been a lot different.   But that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I’m here to talk about an ACTUAL Popeye game made by NINTENDO of all companies. No, this is not the arcade version of Popeye, even though I may review that one day. I am talking about a Gameboy game based on Popeye made by Nintendo. I think it’s pretty clear that Nintendo are Popeye fans.   Popeye on Gameboy was only released in Japan, and in 1990, though the actual game text is in English – not that there is much of it.   Story: N/A I guess there isn’t any. There is no story I know of, though all the characters are there, even though they don’t say anything.   Gameplay: 6/10 The gameplay is a mix between maze/action. You need to find your girlfriend, Olive Oyl, and swee’ peas, a baby. But it’s not really clear what baby this is, if it’s a baby you found like in the movie starring Robin Williams, or if it’s really their baby. You can only get swee’ peas if you collected all the hearts. When you get both of them you advance to the next stage. The perspective is top-view, at first glance you might think of pac-man, but it’s not really similar in the slightest. The controls are good and are not an issue. Of course, there has to be spinach in a popeye game, and of course there is spinach in this game. It flies in one direction, sometimes very hard to get because of enemies and other obs... Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi

It's over 9- nah, DRAGON BALL Z BUDOKAI TENKAICHI REVIEW
Am I really doing this…? I always said to myself ‘’I’m never going to review the Budokai Tenkaichi games, because I would be super biased’’   So, yeah, welcome to one of my most biased reviews of all time! I am reviewing dragon ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 1, and I’ll be doing the rest, too, and trust me, I’ll be even more biased with those ones.   So if you like Bias reviews, you’ve come to the right place, mate!   So why am I biased, well, this series of games is the most nostalgic series of games for me, and I know I’m 12, so maybe It doesn’t count in your eyes, but it does in mine! The first one in the series happens to be my least favourite one. It was released in October of 2005 to all of the world, and as to be expected from dragon ball games, the pal box art is better than the awful NTSC box art. It was developed by Spike, and published by Atari. (Bandai published it in Japan)   Anyway, let’s get going!   Depth: 7/10 There is a lot to do in this game, you might not have a lot of different modes, but what’s there is very big, and will take a while to beat. It’s probably one of the biggest fighting games on the PS2. First off, there’s the main 1 player mode of the game, Z-Battle Gate, this is a mode where you fight opponents with various objectives, like kill your opponent with a certain move, survive for so long, etc. It follows the Anime, and manga pretty closely, and even has some nice unlockable what-if sagas I won’t spoil. Then, there’s the Ultimate Battle mode, which is also playable in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 with the ‘’Disc Fusion’’ It’s a mode where you pick a character, start from number 100, and try to make your way to the top, I never really thought this mode was anything special but it’s a great time killer, and it can get pretty freaking difficult, too. There’s also a... Read the rest of this Review

WWF RAW For the Super Nintendo ''Really, really meh''
Well, hello there and welcome to my review of WWF: Raw on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Once upon a time ( About a year ago ) I made a review for WWF Super WrestleMania, now if you read that abomination, you’d know I didn’t quite like it. Now, this is actually the third game in the series the second was WWF: Royal rumble, now out of laziness, I’m not gonna review that game anytime soon, maybe in a year, haha. Well, anyway this game was released in 1994, the year after  the debut of the new weekly wrestling show for the WWF, Monday night Raw, which is still the biggest weekly show for wrestling, today. So, you have a roster of 1994, which was pretty okay. The company was building new stars at this point, which lead to guys like Hulk Hogan leaving, and Randy Savage being restricted to Commentary. So, do I think it’s as horrible as super wrestlemania? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Graphics: 5/10 They are mostly the same as Super WrestleMania, just a tad less awful. Now that being said, it doesn’t mean it’s good, either. The animation is absolutely horrid! I get this was the SNES, and there were restrictions for 3D environments, but seriously, this is amazingly awful. It’s stiff as all hell, in fact, It’s probably the worst animation I’ve seen on any 16 bit system, and that’s saying a lot. The character models are alright, not anything special, but not horrible either. They kinda look like the actual wrestlers. Also, hitting someone with a chair just looks awful, in fact, the entire chair looks awful. The crowd looks pretty alright, though. And the commentary team in the background is a nice touch.   Story: N/A There is no story, but like I said in my review for WWF Superstars 2, you can use fantasy and make your own. But I don’t know what it is, it’s just less fun to do here, really. Depth: 2/10 Bad, bad, bad, This was a problem they also ... Read the rest of this Review
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010

WWE: Smackdown Vs. Raw 2010: Customize, customize!
Hey, everybody. Today, i’m reviewing one of my favourite wrestling games ever: WWE smackdown VS Raw 2010 This game was released in 2009, and featured one of the smallest rosters in the Smackdown series. Now, if it wasn’t for this game, I would most likely not even watch wrestling, and it would not be my passion, but I’ll get to that later. The game was hugely advertised for creation, so it’s tagline was ‘’It’s your world now’’ Did it live up to the hype? Let’s find out!   Difficulty: 6/10 This game has four difficulty settings: Easy, Normal, Hard and legend. Pretty straight forward right? Some people say that this game is hard to learn. I don’t really think it is though. It is a lot of fun to learn, and it doesn’t take very long to learn in my opinion. Easy, if your good, is very, very easy. They barely do anything, maybe throw you in the corner, and just stand in the middle of the ring, not doing anything. Normal is also easy if your good, this time the CPU does more, but it’s still way to easy to just continuously pound on your opponent. Hard, is probably the funnest game mode, if you want to be sure to win, but still have a good fight (Again, if your good) Legend, is hard. Very hard, they reverse nearly every move, so you have to do that, too. I also think that they did a very good job with the stats. You can train either a real wrestler, or your own! ( Which is more fun than training a real wrestler )   Sound: 6/10 The sound is pretty good, but not great. The commentary is kinda meh. But the smackdown commentary team is my favourite. There is music on the menu’s the most are Wrestling themes, which are pretty good. But there are also some songs from skillet, and some other bands. Which are also pretty okay. The crowd sound is awesome! It is realistic, and there is also the weird guy that says some things on his own, like ‘’This... Read the rest of this Review

Super Mario Advance 4 Review: 'The best version of Mario Bros. 3 available'
Hey, everyone and welcome to my review of: Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3. Darn, that’s a long title. Anyway, this as most of us know by the title, is a remake of Super Mario Bros 3. For the Gameboy advanced. This game was released in 2003 (The year I was born!!!) And has the honour to have been released first in Japan, then in Europe, and then in the US. Finally a game that gives us Euro’s some pride. But, anyway. I played this game on my phone, and I must say it works very well with on screen buttons, and was still very easy and especially fun to play. Of course, the original Super Mario Bros 3, was one of the best games on the NES. It did have some issues, though. Like the fact that it was a big game and had no save feature. Well, this game pretty much fixed everything, and you will see just how much I love this game, as the review goes on Sound: 7/10 The First Mario and the second Japanese Mario have some iconic songs yes, but they were rather repititve. Super Doki Mario (The European and American Super Mario Bros 2.) Had pretty catchy songs, but they really aren’t Mario. This game has some great music, I had my headphones on while I was playing the game, and I really loved the music. It fits the game perfectly, in the scary castle, we have a scary theme, in the happy colourful levels we have happy colourful music! Everything fits so perfectly. The sound effects are great and memorable, too. Overall, the music is really catchy and fun to listen to, and the sound effects are very, very memorable. Graphics: 7/10 The graphics are pretty much ripped from the SNES Super Mario All-Stars port, the Gameboy Advanced had similar graphics to the SNES, the GBA could handle a bit more than the SNES. I like the graphics, but for some reason I don’t necessarily love them. I mean, they do what they have to do. But they don’t really deliver anything special in my opinion. The animation is smooth, and it lo... Read the rest of this Review

WCW Mayhem Review ''For all Wrestling fans!''
Hey, everyone me monster here back with another game review! This time it’s for WCW Mayhem, for the PS1 and N64. I will be covering the PS1 version in this review. The way I came across this game was while browsing through wrestling games. This was In November when vizzed was uploading all the PS1 games. I didn’t play it right away, I waited a little. Recently, however I played the game and quite a bit. The game was released in 1999, around the time when WCW was really getting messy, and was pretty awful. Can the same be said about this game? Well, let’s find out!

Graphics: 9/10 Now, I already said this in my Crash team racing review, but games from the PS1, and N64 era looked great back in the day, but just look plain bad now. But, this game like crash team racing, still looks very crisp today. The animation is really fantastic, a lot of wrestling games from this era had a weird problem with their animation. It would be very stiff. Heck, a lot of the PS2 wrestling games had this problem. The wrestlers all look like their real life counter-parts. Moves look very devastating. The arenas are really well detailed, especially backstage, and in the parking lot. Which I will talk more about later, by the way. The graphics are overall very solid and realistic. This game is really great looking for a game from it’s era, and that it’s a wrestling game makes it even more special. The crowd looks very basic, though. And that is holding it back from a 10. Story: N/A There is no story, but like WWF Superstars 2, you can just make your own one by using something that is called fantasy. And, there is a mode where you win the championship. So you can imagine them doing interviews, and that is actually kind of fun.   Addictiveness: 7/10 This game is pretty addicting. It’s fun and has a lot of wrestlers to play as. The gameplay is fine, but it seems a little lacking There are no issues with the controls, though... Read the rest of this Review

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Review ''Get them coins!''
Hey,everyone! Me monster here and I’m back with another game review! Finally concluding my Mario Land reviews. The last one was nearly a year ago, so you could say this was long overdue. Now, this time it’s for: Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 For some reason, completely unlike the first 2 mario land games, this one was never pick up and play for me, I had to take time out of my schedule to play it. This one can maybe not even be counted as a Mario land game, because it doesn’t really play like any 2D Mario game at all, it’s a lot, a lot different. If you change the name, wario and the plot, you would not know that this is a Mario game. However this game spawned a long running series with many games. I am not going to review them all, but I think I’m going to review some, and this is one of them! The game was released in 1994, and sold less than its predecessors. It is all up to debate as to why it sold less, it could be because it doesn’t star Mario, or because it doesn’t play like Mario , but that doesn’t really matter, what matters is that this game got most favourable reviews of any Mario land game. And will I give it the most favourable one? Well, let’s find out. Graphics: 10/10 This game had very good graphics, like Mario land 2 it has large sprites that look absolutely great, and very detailed. The game looks quite stunning and also has fan hacks adding colour, which makes it look even more amazing. Now, I have to stress that this is the Gameboy, a system that is not known for its graphical abilities. Animation again impressed me very much. Unlike the first Mario land, there was no second that the graphics created problems in the game, it didn’t make it harder, it only added to the game! There is also some comedy in this game’s graphics, because this entire game is out-there and random. This game’s over world also looks really fantastic. Maybe it would have been ... Dragon Ball Z Budokai review ''Not a deep fighter, but it sure is entertaining''
Hey, there everyone. It’s me monster and I’m back with another game review, finally! This time it’s for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai for the Playstation 2. Now, as many of you know. I am a huge dragon ball fan. And, I hold the series very close to my heart. Now to celebrate the new movie that came out, I am going to review the game, that is the first in a golden age of dragon ball games. Since dragon ball has so many games, it can be hard to keep up, heck there is a new dragon ball game coming out next month. But… when it comes to dragon ball games, I like to go to the PS2 era.. Dragon ball Z budokai tenkaichi 3, budokai 3.. And of course this game. Let’s dive right in to this review!

Story: 10/10 Pretty much perfect You could say that I am biased, since this follows the first 3 sagas of dragon ball, but I disagree. Dragon ball’s story is just very well played out, It’s atmosphere is great, and the characters are very well thought out. Now, not only does it use Dragon Ball Z’s story, it also has an amazing story mode. Key parts of the series are recreated with the in-game engine, and they look great.  Very much like what you would see in the show, Not the manga, though. If you didn’t know.. Dragon Ball Z is a sequel to Dragon Ball, it is about an alien warrior fighting against universal tyrants, and androids. Goku, the alien warrior at the beginning finds out in fact that he is an alien, and now he is asked by his alien brother who just arrived on earth for Goku to Join Raditz his team so that they can conquer planets together. We later find out that this was in-fact for Frieza, an evil tyrant that had long ago destroyed planet vegeta, The planet that goku and raditz came from with nearly everyone on it. Raditz has 2 comrades, Nappa and Vegeta, Vegeta is the prince of all saiyans. Goku, refuses to kill innocent people so he and Goku’s rival Piccolo have to team up to defeat raditz, ... UEFA EURO 2004 Review: The in-between FIFA game
Hey there, it’s me monser and I’m back with another game review! This time it’s for UEFA EURO 2004, For the PS2. Being dutch, I have a grudge against the 2004 Euro, since the host nation beat us 2-1. But do I have a grudge against this game? Well, you’ll find out in this review, or of course if you looked at the score, which you most likely did. This game was released in 2004, the same year that the first great fifa game was released, in FIFA 2005. But, does this game have the gameplay of the great FIFA 2005, or of the lesser FIFA 2004? Well, I’d say let’s find out! Graphics 6/10 Let’s start with the least important, the graphics. They’re average, at best. The PS2 can pull off so much more, and the same franchise even showed that. But they’re not horrible, they’re just not that great. The Pro evolution soccer game of this year looked better.  My biggest problem are the players, they look like they were ripped from a PS1 game. The field looks pretty nice, and the audience from an above view also looks pretty cool.  When you score a goal, it looks pretty cool, but you still want a bit more detail. Do the players look like the players? Well, kind of… I guess.  If you are a fan like me, you would recognize them, only.. They don’t look particularly good either. Overall The graphics are average, the players look OK, and the field is actually pretty nice. A 6/10 Story: N/A There is no story, well maybe you can make your own story with players. The story is, you go in a tournament. The end. Depth 8 /10 There is  a lot to do in this game, tournament mode, UEFA EURO CUP mode, situation mode. And even dream match mode. Let’s cover the modes UEFA EURO 2004 Mode: You pick a team (Or teams) and you try to qualify for the tournament, after that you enter the UEFA EURO and try to win the tournament, this is very addicting, for a while, I beat the tournament 2 times and af... Crash Bandicoot - The Huge Adventure

A solid platformer, Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure review
Hey there! I’m back with another game review, This time it’s of a Solid Gameboy Advanced platformer: Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure Known as Crash Bandicoot: XS In Europe   This was the first Crash Bandicoot game not to be released on a playstation console. The game was released in 2002 and changed the view of crash, As many people believed he was the mascot of sony, While in reality The publishers of this game, Universal Interactive always owned Crash. The Huge Adventure was developed by Vicarious Visions, Creators of some very solid games and also the creators of my favourite crash game and favourite racing game of all time, Crash Nitro Kart. This game was also the first Game in a trilogy. The trilogy includes Crash bandicoot: N-tranced and A crossover game with spyro Crash bandicoot Purple Ripto’s revenge.   Without further Ado! Let’s get started.   GRAPHICS: 9/10 The graphics in this game are awesome! It gives you a real feel of crash, They really look like the 2d  Levels in the PS1 Crash games. The characters all have a 3d feel to them and it’s executed very well for a Gameboy advanced game. The animation is very smooth, And the backgrounds are just beautiful.   All the enemies are very well detailed and a lot of work went in to animating them as the animation is just terrific for a Gameboy advanced game. All of the stages have personalities, and are delightful to look at. Now for some Gameboy advanced games, Great graphics come with a price, That price being unresponsive controls, But this game totally does not have that. Which is a accomplishment. The look of the characters is made by the same artist that originally created the characters, a talented guy that also worked on cartoons:  Charles Zembillas.   Overall: Overall the graphics are beautiful and really well done, My only complaint would be that there are very few times where you can not see a enemy or object, this h... Hey there! Me monster and I’m back finally for a new game review! This time it’s not a portable game, It’s my second favourite kart racer ever! With crash Nitro kart being number 1. I’ll have to start with this: This is the first game I have ever played. Yeah, Ever! So it has a special place in my heart, I’ll try my hardest to be unbiased. This game was released in 1999 for the PlayStation 1, It has been a discussion ever since the release of this game, Was it better than Mario kart 64? I think it is, By miles, Look I love Mario kart 64 but this game was just incredible. And unmatched by any kart racer except Crash nitro kart in my opinion. This was also the last crash game ever to be made by The original creators of our favourite Bandicoot, Naughty dog, It was sad that they had to let go, But.. Hey what is this a history lesson? Let’s start the review!!     GRAPHICS: 10/10 Most of the games that were released on the PlayStation 1 looked awesome back in the day, But just look ugly now.  But this game still looks good today, The characters all look really defined and just well made, They really did put a lot of work in to the characters. And now the tracks, Oh boy they are amazing to play in and they all look amazing too, You have little details that you never see in a PlayStation 1 game. Coco’s stage is really colourful and shows how much effort they put in to making the graphics.   But as we all know graphics are not everything and as you saw by the score, This game has much more than good graphics. Overall: Overall the graphics are incredible for a ps1 game and the characters and tracks look phenomenal. 10 Out of 10   Sound 9/10 Now for the sound, The sound of this game is just great! Let’s start off with the sound effects, this is crash so expect a  lot of sound effects! The items, the crashes are all so wacked and amazing! The characters also say things, Which is reall... WWF Superstars 2

WWF Superstars 2- Simply fun
Hey there, I'm back with another game review! If you did not know, Pro Wrestling was big in the 90's, I mean really big. So it was only fitting that they would make games based on it. And they did... there are so many pro wrestling games from the 90's it makes my head spin.

The game I'm reviewing today, Is called WWF Superstars 2. It was released in 1992 for the gameboy. It is a sequel to WWF Superstars, Which was also released for the gameboy. ( It was also a adaption of the arcade game of the same name )
I can't review that game.Totally not because I always rage quit at the last opponent and never been able to beat it.

So is this game any good? Let's find out!

Graphics: 8/10/ Very good, But not perfect

Let's start off with the graphics, Their actually very good! The wrestlers look fantastic. They all look like their real life counterparts. Unlike WWF king of the ring, Which was also released on the gameboy.

Now i'm a sucker for the late golden era's ( Golden era is a era in wrestling ) WWF Logo, I love it. And it is in this game, And it looks awesome. The logo is in the ring, It looks sweet in Black And White, And it's excactly like the real life logo. In the steel cage match it's not in the ring but outside the ring, In my opinion, It looks even better.

The ring it self looks very good, Which makes it easier and more fun to move around in.

When you bounce in to the ropes it looks really cool And adds a bit to the game. The steel cage also looks really cool!

This time I'm reviewing a portable game! What a surprise! And it's a game about the ninja turtles! Now I'm a big Teenage Mutant Ninja
turtles fan. From the comics to the 1987 cartoon show, To my favourite turtles! The '03 the turtles. The current series is good too.
The turtles had a lot of games. And A lot are great! This one is not quite great, But it's still good. This game was released in good ol' 1990 ( I was totally alive back then) The same year that one of my favourite films was released, Teenage mutant ninja turtles the movie!

Well, I thought really hard to come up with a new section for my reviews and I finally have it! It's called cover the ?box!

COVER THE BOX
The box of this game differs between all regions. This is the Japanese Cover:. This is the japanese back: [img]http://img.gamefaqs.net/box/8/5/... Read the rest of this Review
Spy Muppets - License to Croak

Spy Muppets- License To Croak- Only for muppet's fans..
Hello Imamonster here with another game review. It has been far to long since I made one. I just watched Muppet's Most wanted. And felt like playing some Muppet's games. So I checked vizzed. And I saw this game. It caught my attention And I HAD to play it. Left was a game that I was disappointed with .. This game got bad reviews and for good reason Let's go!

It was short and far to easy, And for a licensed game OK But enough rambling because if I continue I won't have enough to drag on about at the conclusion.

Graphics:8/10

I really liked the graphics in this game. They looked great and It really has a nice touch to it. The model of the Muppet's look Muppettastic.I loved the model of Kermit in his spy suit, It really looked like him.

All of you're favorite Muppet's are here and look fantastic. 'Piggy galore' Yes in this game she is a bad guy and  looks Galore It really looks like if in the movies she would become a bad guy. You also have Mr. Nose which is gonzo. Yes he is also a bad guy. And last but not least 'King prawn' You Also ride on a speedway following Piggy galore's friends. The oil on the street looks legit. Before every level you need to make a vehicle. The items for you're car look great and Making the car and seeing how it looks sucked, But more about that later.I Liked the backgrounds in every level. In the background of the vehicle making level you see tears in the wall and when you're riding on fozzy (Known as Agent Triple-F in this game.) You are riding on snow and the light blue background looks nice. There is some flickering here and there tough. The background where you are throwing snowballs at Gonzo's chicken's is just awesome. It looks Snowtastic and very detailed. It looks like something from a muppet's movie.

Overall the graphics look Awesome even tough there is some flickering. It is pleasant for my eyes and I really enjoyed the graphics. But as us Retro gamers know Graphics... Read the rest of this Review
WWF Super WrestleMania

WWF Super WrestleMania! Review For Super Nintendo/Super Famicom!
a few days ago it was WrestleMania 30 so i think it's the perfect time to review this Snes Wrestling game! So This game was developed by the grand mother load of crap. LJN.
-
They are known for 'classics' like beetlejuice, The Karate Kid X-men and more of those 'great games' They also made WWF games. They were can i say not classy? No really the games sucked!!!!!! I'd rather *Gets message* The message reads: You should not mention the nerd.

Me- It's like puki *gets another message* It reads: WE SAID YOU SHOULD NOT MENTION THE NERD NOW SHUT UP AND TALK ABOUT THE GAME IN ANOTHER OF YOU'RE CRAPPY REVIEWS NO ONE LIKES!

Oh ok. Well let's get on with it then.

Graphics- Crappy for SNES standards.

I'm not the one to bash graphics but this is a wrestling game. I know the SNES can handle more. Everything has a brown dark look to it. It's not appealing to look at. Superstars do look good. When i see Hulk Hogan Or Randy Savage in this game i know that they are Hulk Hogan And randy savage. The ropes look Pretty good. The photo copy of Hulk Hogan Which is on the title screen looks great. However the photo copy for Mene Gene looks really bad

You also have the commentators in the background.Bobby heenan and gorilla monsoon (I believe. I don't really know a lot about the early 90's in wrestling) The animation is good for a background and you can see them having conversations which is a nice touch.

Of course i have to touch on the Animation. It's..... meh really meh. I mean grapples look Meh. Sometimes it looks like there just walking around doing nothing while they have to look like they are having a grapple battle. When they walk they look like crap. It's like there hobbling.

When the ropes move it looks pathetic. You can barely see it.

Overall the graphics are crappy. They look like a game for the atari 2600 compared to games like Super Mario World 2. The animation i... Read the rest of this Review
Spot - The Cool Adventure
03-31-14 05:59 AM
Monday Shorts- Spot the cool adventure!
Welcome to Monday Shorts In the first Monday Shorts I will be reviewing one of my most nostalgic game boy games! Yeah I said that. One of the most obscure game boy games! This game is a bit weird. See this is basically M.CKids. I have not played the game boy version of M.C kids so I can not say if they are exactly the same. Spot was the mascot of 7-Up back in the day. He got a bunch of games but this one is my favourite. The word that is used a lot is Uncola. Always liked that lol. Lets start the review shall we!? SUPER SHORTS LETS GO!

Graphics: GOOD

Ah the graphics. The graphics are actually pretty good. The sprite of spot is detailed and animation is good. The backgrounds however are bland and uninspired. They are green with a cloud really REALLY uninspired. I like the sunglasses spot wears. The enemies look pretty good. My favourite is Skipper. That's all for the graphics, There is not really a lot to talk about

Sound: AWFUL!!!
The music sucks REALLY BAD There is a weird buzzing noise. And the music itself hurts my ears. Its a scrambled mess of 8 bit poopyness. Its very high pitched and not pleasant. This is an obscure game so I could not find out who composed the music sorry. Don't listen to the music of this game with a Headphone. I learned that the hard way. The music is not pleasant and can hurt your ear. The buzzing sound is also very distracting from the game. I'm not a big fan of the game boy's sound but this is below average. I would never EVER Listen to the music again. I turn off the volume when I play the game because the music IS AWFUL!! Please don't listen to it.

Addictiveness: OK.
Is this game addictive? A bit yeah. I did beat the game in my first sitting. The game is not that hard (The last level is very hard tough) But I can see why people wont play this game a lot. The controls are floaty people looking for a quality game will be disappointed. The game can be cheap at times. The controls are ag... Read the rest of this Review
Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins
03-14-14 06:18 AM
a golden sequel
Hello
imamonster here with another game review this time I will be reviewing Super
Mario land 2 6 golden coins. First let's talk about the back story of this game
and how it came to be. Super Mario land was a big success so of course they
would make a sequel soon right? NO. This game came out 3 YEARS 3 FREAKING YEARS
after the super Mario land 1 was released. What took em so long. Like the first
super Mario land Shigeru Miyamoto was not part of the credits. Since he did not
work on this game. This time it was Hiroji Kiyotake. This game is also
known for something else a secret but that will be told later in the review.
Let's get started.

Graphics 10/10
The graphics are amazing for the gameboy. If you have read my previous review.
You would know that the graphics in the first Mario land were not so good and
made the game harder. Everything was small. But this time everything is big!
Mario it looks like you stopped that diet huh? (reference to my previous
review) The sprites are well detailed and platforms this time around are easy
to see. There are emotions on the faces. And animations are phenomenal.
Backgrounds are also very well done some even look amazing. Space zone just
looks awesome all the little details they put in like the word happy in the sky
and the blinking stars. And macro zone where everything is big or where you are
small. And there are giant bugs. And then there is pumpkin zone. A zone with
horror movie influences. You will see things like Jason masks. And the mirrors
from the Dracula hammer movies.(only a horror movie nerd like myself know how
they are) and that makes it my favourite zone in the graphics department. And
the Mario zone is also great. Which is very unique with balls in the background
If you play the game in color it looks great it looks vibrant and nice.
that is really it for the graphics there isn't a lot to talk about The

Super Mario Land
03-12-14 09:06 AM
Mario's first adventure on the game boy
Hello
imamonster here with another game review! Man do i love making these. But
anyway this is super mario land.  The NES was a big succes.
That was because of the great game called Super mario bros. The gameboy
came out in 1989 (1990 here in europe) It had a few launch titles but only 2
were put in to the real spotlight. Those games were Tetris and Super Mario
land. And that is the game i will be talking about. Welcome to the review OF
SUPER MARIO LAND!!!!!!

Graphics 6/10
The graphics are Ok. when you play the first level you will say it looks OK.
But when you get to stages like the ancient egypt stage it looks charming and
fun. Mario looks like he is on a serious diet tough. Come on mario is this
because people called you fat? THIS IS NOT THE WAY. enough with the humor let's
get back to the game. Sprites dont look good and at times very frustrating. and
a lot of the time you cant see what is in the background and what is not.
Falling stones can be a pain to actually see. Platforms are very hard to see at
times. And everything is small. this was a launch title for the gameboy so that
is a excuse. And they fixed that in mario land 2.But there are also good things
about the graphics. Some of the levels look awesome. The easton kingdom ( a
stage based of the easter island) stage is my favourite when it comes to
graphics. the easter heads in the background are well detailed. And it just
charms you. There is not a real way to explain it. Overall the graphics were
sometimes frustrating and sometimes charming. I hope that you can overlook
this. This game is for the original gameboy so it is in black and white but
that just adds to the charm in my opinion. A 6/10

Sound 8/10
The sound was not composed by Koji Kondo but by Hirokazu Tanaka. So
the result was surprising. It did not sound like a mario game at all. It sounded... Read the rest of this Review
WWF WrestleMania - The Arcade Game

Great wrestling game
Hello Imamonster here with another game review.Im a big Pro Wrestling fan. It has fun storylines. Sometimes amazing matches.Moves that will make you go ouch. Even tough it is all for show It was and still is a incredible part of sports entertainment so games were 100 percent sure to come. some were realistic and some are not. This is one of the unrealistic games. Midway made some other of these kinds. Including NBA JAM. Which was a great success. So midway tried it with wrestling. It was like NBA JAM released in the arcades first. And the Snes is known for having not so great to just terrible arcade transition's (exceptions TMNT turtles in time NBA JAM) Lets see if this one is any good!

Graphics 8/10
It uses like mortal kombat ( which is also developed by midway) digitized people. It looks good for a SNES game Of course there are less animations then the arcade version. The background is bad tough not detailed and bland. 8OutOf10

Sound 7/10

The sound is pretty good it has a enjoyable soundtrack. Lets get into the sound. First of all,all the superstars have their theme song rendition ed to 16 bit. Some sound good (Bret hart) and some don't (undertaker) The soundtrack that is played during matches is not pleasant at all. It is very in your face and I don't like that. 7 out of 10 because of the theme songs.

Addictiveness  7/10

This game can be very addicting. Playing as the different superstars and checking out their combo's. You can spend hours playing the game with a friend. There is not a lot to do tough so if you had a few days you are gonna stop being interested. The controlls are good so that adds to the addictiveness. There are two modes the road to the intercontinental championship. And road to the WWF heavyweight championship.  The only difference being that the road to the wwf heavyweight championship is a little longer and a little more difficult. 7 out of 10

Dragon Ball - Advanced Adventure
12-28-13 02:48 AM
Dragon ball: Advanced adventure review: Not only a great game for dragon ball fans, but for everyone
Hey everyone, It’s me monster and I’m back with another review!! You know, there are so many Dragon ball Z games it makes my brain explode, Because of this. The great games based on the original dragon ball are overshadowed.  Today I will be looking at one of those overshadowed original dragon ball games, With the name: Dragon ball advanced adventure.  Geez, how many Gameboy advanced games are there with the word advanced in it? The game was released in 2006, the same year that Dragon ball z: Budokai tenkaichi 2 was released. The game got overlooked, because it was released late in the GBA’s lifespan. And there was already a dragon ball game on the ds: Dragon ball z Supersonic warriors 2. Which also did not help with the sales of this one. Was it good that this game got overlooked? Or is it a hidden gem. Let’s find out!   Graphics: 9/10 Starting off good for this game.  The graphics in this game are really good.  It looks like the anime (No manga designs manga fans) Everything is colourful and captures the feel of the show very well. The designs are well detailed and look really good.  Some enemies are even from the show. The look of the stages themselves, Most of the time is creative and fun to look at. I especially love the design of krillin and king piccolo. They look very much like they were ripped from the show. The animation, It’s really good, Fantastic even.  The punches are fluent, Running feels very satisfying because of the animation.  It’s great, most of the times. Why? Well, when there is a lot of stuff happening on screen, there will be slowdown. It was not that bad, But still something worth to note. Overall The graphics are great, The animation is great, Character design awesome And the stages look gorgeous  A 9/10     Sound 10/10 You probably don’t know this, But I reviewed this game earlier about a year ago now, That review wa... Pokemon Black
10-18-13 03:24 AM
Great installment in the franchise
Hello imamonster here with an other review. So Pokemon X and Y are out i dont have a 3DS so i cant review that but i have played this one and i have beated it so think its the perfect time to submit a review about pokemon black. Let's go

Graphics 8/10

The graphics are pretty nice at times but the ds could handle much more it looks the way it is because it was created of the base of pokemon diamond and pearl Games like transformers are superiour in graphics because this one is still 2d however i still think they  did a darn good job.

Sound 10/10

Do i really have to talk about the sound its just awesome when your running through flowers the music feels calming but when you face the elite 4 the music gets you really pumped up 10 out of 10

Addicteveness 8/10

The addictive nature of the pokemon series is still there even though i thought this one was less addictive like sapphire and blue sometimes it makes no sense where you have to go but still training those little monsters never gets old 8 out of 10

Now for the story its the classic cheesy pokemon storyline we know and love but i really think we have to look at the story like we look at the story when i review final fantasy. The story is about team plasma stealing all the pokemon and you have to save the world at the end theres an epic confrontation im not going to spoil it but you will be so pumped. 6 out of 10

Depth 8 out of 10
Now the depth  This game took me pretty long to beat and after you have beated the game you can still do a lot like beauty contests and much more

Difficulty 6 out of 10

I think you know how difficult pokemon is its not that special even though sometimes you can get stuck and you have to train your pokemon its not that hard 6 out of 10

Overall i think this is a really good installment in the franchise not the best but still worth the try :)

8 OUT OF 10
