Fun, but glitchy
This is my first review so hopefully I explained everything adequately.
I'll run through the specific ratings and then I'll put my overall impression on the bottom (called Glitches and Overall Impression). If you want to get the general idea and don't need the specific ratings explained, jump to the bottom.
Graphics: Pretty good. The author really did some cool stuff enhancing all of the buildings. It's a leaf green (Gen 3) hack, but all of the buildings look similar to buildings from later generations. It's also pretty cool how he colored the tyrant Pokémon to represent their type. (I.e. The water/fire type arcanine is blue.) He also changed all of the towns and routes to create an entirely new region. There were definitely a few glitches, but it didn't take away very much from the game.
Sound: I played the whole game fast forwarded, so I hardly listened, but from what I did hear, it was the usual Pokémon music. Since the author of the hack changed the region, the music changed too. If you love listening to Pokémon music you won't be disappointed though, the music always fits the mood of the area.
Addictiveness: I would say it's just about as addicting as any Pokémon game, which is pretty addicting while you're playing it. However, I will most likely never play through this hack again, hence the low rating. It's cool having tons of Pokémon from every generation available at your disposal, but part of the fun of playing a Pokémon game is creating your team with what's available. You can get a bunch of strong Pokémon early on, and for me, that takes a lot of the fun away.
Story: You are a poor kid who gets picked on, who only was going to get a Pokémon because Oak's grandson goes crazy and tries to take over the world. In fact, Oak's grandson actually steals your Pokémon (eevee) and you find a pikachu outside professor Oak's lab. You then go on a mission ... Read the rest of this Review
