 After I read the sign in southern Pina Francia, I can no longer play the game, when I go to a new area, it acts like I am diving and then when a battle starts, the game freezes

 After I read a sign in southern Pina Francia, near the "Fancia Cave" I can no longer play the game. Anytime I try to walk on the grass and the battle sequence starts the game freezes. Sucks :(
