Pooyan Review by: Klutch - 7.9/10
PooyanGraphics- 7
I gave the graphics for this game a 7, because the graphics are not that bad considering its time, and that it is an NES game. It's graphics are at about the same level as Super Mario Brothers, also for the NES. It has good falling animations of the wolves, and also good animation when Mama Pig shoots her arrows. Other than that there is not much to say about Pooyans' graphics.
Sound- 6
I gave the sound a 6, because there aren't very many sounds in the game. Background music, a short loop of a little catchy song, I suggest turning the volume down if you will be playing the game for more than 10 minutes, because you'll get a headache. As for the wolves, I'm not sure if the sound when a wolves balloon is shot is the wolf falling, or him screaming, you decide that one. Mama Pig only has one real sound in the game and that is her shooting arrows, it is actually a good attempt at a real arrow being shot, doesn't sound real, but it is very good for NES.
Addictiveness- 8
This game scores a whopping 8 in addictiveness, because once you play it, it's not easy to stop. If you give the game a chance, one change will turn into two, and two into three, and so on and so fourth. It is fun to see if you can beat your last score, and each time you play, you do better and better. Each play progressing a level further. It is overall a pretty addictive game.
Story- 2
Why did I give this game a 2 in story? Because it earned it. Mama Pig tries to rescue her Pooyans(babies) and that's all that happens, ever. Sometimes a little cut scene or skit or something appears after the level, and it's just Mama Pig, Pooyan, and wolves all chasing each other. I don't see the point in it, but oh well. The story never changes or gets exciting in the entire game.
Depth- 1
The game only has 1 depth, because it's the same thing over and over, Mama Pig rides up and down in her elevator cart trying to shoot the wolves, and get her Pooyans back. It is very small, and takes probably an hour or two to beat, but that's probably because it's more of a High Score game.
Difficulty- 3
This game is very easy, because it is just shooting wolves down, the only problem is that the elevator cart should be faster, and more maneuverable. It is basically the same enemies every level, with different colors, and sometimes the enemies float up, and fall down. It just depends on what level you are on. The game gets slightly harder, but still remains easy.

My comments-
The game always seems to take a little longer to load than most games. And another thing is where are the continues, and/or level selects? It may be a high score game, but it also seems like it should have continues for the levels, and continue scores also.
