Racing games don't always have to have wacky antics like in Mario Kart! I wonder how many people have put in so many quarters into this game just to get one free game out of a win XD Racing games are oddly relaxing, I agree. I think they're relaxing for me because they're so simple.

For those of us who live in the United States, you might have heard that the Cleveland Indians will be changing their name to the Cleveland Guardians. While that is quite a controversial subject, I wanted to bring up their new logo instead. What do you guys think about the logo (the G with wings and a baseball)? Could it be better?

I think that the logo could be better, but I also don't think there's too much people can do too much with the name "Guardians" anyway. I think it'd be cool if they did something based on the statues that ultimately gave them that new team name. But other than that, I have no idea! For now, the new logo will take a long time to get used to.

classgame : Aw man. That's hard to have to wait that long to have a team. My college is odd because we don't have a football team. We have so many other teams like baseball and soccer, but we've never had a football team. Many students seem to really want us to have one, but with our many budget cuts, I don't think that's gonna happen for a long time.

This is so cool!! One of my favorite things to watch on YouTube is rare footage of games in their demo state or developments like that.

I relate so much to what you said in the intro to this review XD I haven't been paying much attention to sports ever since I was born. Although now that the Cleveland Indians have a new name (the Cleveland Guardians), maybe in hundreds of years, people will have a trivia question where they have to name what the original name was for that team.

Anyways, nice review! That's cool that Regis recorded a new intro for this game. And yeah, it's hard to put a difficulty rating on a trivia game because the whole game is just answering questions.

SonicOlmstead : I had thought about making that movie review after last night and decided to give it a go today. I was determined to make a game review sometime soon but my brain had other plans!

Yeah, this is probably the most inconsistent I've ever been at participating in a TdV. I think I've only been really active on the site for 4 or 5 days out of this whole month. And when I am online, I've been putting in some decent effort

The last thing I googled was a local place that converts many different types of video into DVD's. My friend and I have hours of footage of us hanging out together, so I wanted to make that into a DVD and be able to watch it on a big screen like an actual movie! Now he can laugh even more about how ridiculous I was acting in our videos.

What's up, guys? I honestly don't remember if I have ever made a movie review for Vizzed before, so this is probably my first one! With most movies I see, I don't care to think about them much afterwards; I just watch them and then move on with my life. But when I saw the new Space Jam movie yesterday, I realized I have a lot to say about it.

*As I usually do with my game reviews, there will be spoilers.*

For the 3 of you in this world who don't know, Space Jam: A New Legacy is basically a reboot of the Space Jam movie from the 1990's, this time starring LeBron James. It's very different from the original movie that I saw as a kid. I think that's almost always a good thing when reboots stray away from the original in a lot of ways.

The movie starts out with a LeBron James highlight reel. For anyone who's really into basketball, that should be pretty exciting to watch! I don't watch basketball much, but I was still excited to see that. Next, we get a whole lot of Warner Bros. self-promotion, which I started to notice pretty quickly would be a theme throughout the movie.

I found it weird but cool that viewers could see inside Warner Bros's server. However, that ended up being super important for the whole movie. The villain is the Warner Bros server's algorithm. You heard that right: the villain is literally an algorithm. It didn't make that much sense to me in the trailer, and it didn't make much sense to me during the movie either. But yeah, the algorithm ends up taking LeBron's son and being evil and stuff.

I grew up watching WAY too much Looney Tunes, so I was happy to see more of those characters when LeBron got sent to their world. One major difference from the original Space Jam that I liked was that LeBron didn't stay as a normal person the whole time; he became a cartoon in the Looney Tunes world! I've always loved 2D animation the most, so I thought it was cool that people were willing to animate in the original Looney Tunes style for that part of the movie.

I was surprised to see Bugs Bunny being the only Looney Tunes character left in their world. That made me start getting more invested in the storyline. It was funny to me when LeBron wanted to recruit much stronger and smarter picks for the basketball team so they could win and get LeBron's son back, but Bugs just wanted to be with his friends again.

So back to the whole self-promotion thing: Bugs and LeBron fly through several worlds to pick up Bugs's friends, and we end up seeing so many "random" characters. I was glad to keep seeing more Looney Tunes characters appear in the movie, but I don't think they got enough of a focus in this part of the movie. Especially since they were just acting like the other characters in the worlds they were apparently stuck in. I think the other characters not related to Looney Tunes got way too much of a focus.

Once all the Looney Tunes characters were together, I FINALLY got what I came for: some hilarious cartoon-y action. I think that when LeBron (and Daffy Duck) were training the Looney Tunes characters, that was my favorite part of the movie. ...You heard that right. The actual basketball game wasn't my favorite part of the movie.

Fast-forward to the basketball game because I don't have anything to say about the intro to the game with CGI, and CGI, and oh, what's that? CGI... Ahembutyeah, I sighed in disappointment several times during the basketball game. I liked the Monstars from the orignal so much better than the... things that were on the opposing team in this movie. I don't think there was a single likable thing about the opposing team's characters for me. I was just weirded out by them.

I liked that Dom's basketball game ended up being what the players were stuck inside, since it's very different and could end up being interesting. Well, nah. Right away, I could tell that the game wasn't going to make much sense. I actually felt so frustrated because of how stupidly arbitrary the scoring was. It's like the creators of the movie tried to make us feel overwhelmed and hate the bad guys. All it did was make me sigh and wonder when the game was gonna get interesting.

Finally, a long time later, LeBron discovers that he was trying to make the Looney Tunes characters more like him, when he needed to let them... are you ready for this... be themselves! OH, so that's what the lesson of this movie is! Just like 99.9999% of other kids' movies! (Slight exaggeration) That theme came into play when LeBron talked to Dom in the middle of the game, and Dom joined his team. That was sweet, but why did literally everybody do nothing while they were talking? If the rules are so arbitrary, why didn't... uh, anyway...

Oh my gosh FINALLY I got to see more Looney Tunes character action! I started to enjoy the basketball game slightly more when the team was coming back from their... 1000 point deficit (that's why it started getting annoying for me). But don't forget the theme of self-promotion. There were many Warner Bros. characters in the audience. I'm not that old, so I didn't recognize some of them, but oh well. I didn't come to see that

It was such a relief to see the Looney Tunes characters being their best selves again. And then I got disappointed again when they were 1 point behind the opposing team. Ah, classic tension-building... but yeah, they won the game by Bugs sacrificing himself. That was pretty cool, but I imagine a lot of kids were freaking out, thinking that Bugs was actually gonna die. Thankfully, LeBron and his son were reunited, and everyone safely got back to the real world. Including Bugs.

Well, Bugs got teleported to the real world! And so did all the other Looney Tunes characters! Wait, what? The end!

I would rate this movie a 4/10. The effects were cool, the storyline was alright, and there was a little bit of Looney Tunes hilarity in there. It does its job as a modern retelling of the Space Jam story, but making an algorithm a villain might be a little too modern? Thank you for reading this review! I took it way too seriously, so it's way too long. But that was my first movie review after all. I hope you enjoyed reading it!

Oh, I am SO reading that Who Wants to Be A Millionaire review right after this XD This game sounds interesting, especially because of your review title!

Also, yeah, a lot of quiz shows seem to rely on pop culture references. That can be fun but also pretty repetitive.

I specialize in platformers, which means I'm absolutely awful at most other types of video games. But yeah, I can pick up on how to play platformers well really quickly. I'd say I'm pretty good at any of them that have easy controls. There are a few games I like to speedrun, and I wouldn't be speedrunning them if I didn't have quick reflexes.

The only thing that screws up my skills in platformers is when I have to go WAY out of my way to find something that's hidden. That's when I resort to these lovely things called walkthroughs.

Activity levels can be a bit low lately, but there are so many topics to post about! And people like me might not ever run out of things to say because you can write game reviews here

Speaking of retro consoles, one of my friends owns a Nintendo 64. If only he had told me that sooner! So I look forward to playing games on there since I've never owned a retro console.

Yellow jersey seems to have been the best individual jersey competition so far! Well, there are so many things people can do to get a high word count for that jersey, so it's already pretty interesting. I keep telling myself I'm gonna write a game review to post this month, but will I actually do it? Find out, right after this XD

becerra95 : I don't like country music either. There are very few country songs I enjoy, and the rest I just desperately want to get out my head before I go crazy. It's sad because 99% of the guys in my dorm hall at college are really into country music, so I hear it all the time and still don't like it XD

This chapter is the best in the whole novella... just kidding but at least it's so cringey that it's funny

Chapter 17

“Yay! After all that, we can get started,” Inky laughed.

“No time to waste now! Let’s make this hallway look BEAUTIFUL!” Greeny shouted.

“I couldn’t have said it better myself,” Silver responded.
Silver had illustrated what he thought the hallway should look like in a painting he made a night ago. However, he couldn’t communicate with Blinky about it until now, so they briefly discussed it. Blinky asked Silver if he ever saw online what the original Pac-Man maze looked like.

“Yep! It’s all black with blue borders,” Silver answered enthusiastically.

With barely enough energy, all the ghosts dove into their work. They whipped out their paint rollers, paint brushes, and of course, the paint. They didn’t bring anything to cover themselves because they didn’t have to worry about stepping on the paint on the floor. They only ever stopped floating when they fell asleep!

“I can’t believe I get to paint a whole hallway! This is amazing!” Silver exclaimed.
Three hours and two short breaks later, they finished painting.

“Wow we did it!” Blinky yelled in victory. “Now I’m really hungry and we should--”

“WAIT!” Silver screamed. “We need to take a good, long look at the result of our efforts. Is everyone good with this?”

After everyone paused to look around the whole hallway, Pinky took a calm deep breath and smiled. “Pac-Man will be completely fooled.”

This is probably the best chapter anyone could read out of context!

Chapter 16

WHY WON’T YOU LISTEN TODAY? WE’RE JUST TRYING TO PAINT A HALLWAY, Greeny thought. He didn’t hear any of the conversation since he was four halls away. Therefore, he had no idea that he was the one who needed to be found. He continued to rant to Violet in his mind. Twenty-five seconds later, he started hearing a voice besides his own.

“GREENY, WE FOUND THEM!” Blinky screamed.

“GREENY, THEY FOUND ME!” Violet screamed.

“GREENY, I FOUND THE BATHROOM!” Clyde screamed.
I keep hearing my name. This is great! Greeny thought.

“OVER HERE!!!” he screamed back.

“ALRIGHT!!” Blinky replied.
They nearly crashed into each other in the middle of a hallway, but Greeny stopped himself right on time. He wasn’t glad to see Violet, but he was glad she was still in the building. He pulled himself together since Blinky and Clyde were right there too.

“We found you! Alright!” Blinky exclaimed.

“Hey hey!” Greeny greeted them. “Did you find them, or did they find you?”

“Both,” Blinky answered. “I found Clyde and then Violet found us.”

“Good, good,” Greeny smiled. He floated with them back to the hallway the others were at. He desperately wanted to ask Violet why she didn’t stay with the group, but he kept his mouth shut. Five minutes of much slower paced hallway navigation later, they had not reached their destination yet.

“How are we gonna find them?” Clyde wondered.

“URGH! I can’t believe I didn’t think of using my phone flashlight,” Greeny yelled, frustrated. He whipped out his phone, and immediately it brightened the hall. Two more minutes of hallway navigation later, they still hadn’t found everybody else.

“Now what…” Clyde whined.

“I know! I’ll call Silver,” Greeny told them. He tapped on Silver’s number and held the phone up to his side. Silver didn’t pick up the phone.

“Silver forgot his phone, didn’t he…” Violet asked, not expecting an answer.

“Try calling Bronze I’m sure he has his phone!” Blinky recommended.

“Good idea! I’ll do that,” Greeny replied. He tapped on Bronze’s number and held the phone up to the side of his head. Bronze didn’t pick up the phone.

“You’re kidding…” Violet muttered.
Greeny remembered that he instructed everyone not to bring their phones so they wouldn’t lose them in the building. Whyyyy did I bring my own then? he thought. I must have done that out of habit.

“Only one thing left to do… keep on searching…” Clyde complained.

Two and a half minutes of searching with the assistance of Greeny’s flashlight later, they at last found the others. Silver, Pinky, and Bronze jumped up and down with excitement.

“Yay! You found them!” Pinky exclaimed.

“Time… to rest…” Clyde whispered to Blinky, panting.

“I agree…” Blinky responded, taking a deep breath afterwards.

“Did you guys find the bucket?” Bronze asked.
They all froze. Violet, realizing she left it at the entrance when they arrived, volunteered to retrieve it as soon as she had enough energy. Fifteen minutes of rest and five minutes of searching later, Violet brought the bucket.

“Yay!” Silver shouted. “Now where’s the entrance? We need to go back there since that’s where the hallway we need to paint is.”

Violet froze then kept panting heavily. She became extremely annoyed that she didn’t think of leading everyone to the entrance with her.

I believe I am one of many users on the site who hasn't realized how much work goes on behind the scenes to make the site work faster and better. I remember years ago when I'd get a black page telling me the site was undergoing maintenance. I'd always just move on and not really think about why it would need maintenance. This post really helps explain why the site needs improvements once in a while, and I appreciate your work!
