It blew my mind seeing how many words janus put up with the guide he posted. I didn't even care what place I got in yellow XD I also got a nice scare from him in the blue since he passed me at the last second and I had to post really quickly in order to pass him again. I kept trying to pass no 8120 in the red, but apparently he passed me again right when I stopped.

Wow, this is what competing for places in all 4 jerseys feel like: completely exhausting and scary! I might get used to it eventually when I do more CP actions. Today's double CP action is submitting screenshots, which I used to do all the time so I'll be glad to do it again.

And yup that pic of Luigi matches me perfectly. I took a small break when I reached an italic username, but now I'm back in action. I was surprised as well when I saw janus posted a 17k word post. Turns out it is anotherrr guide . And now I don't think I'll be able to reach the yellow jersey since David is waaaay ahead of me now (im currently 2k and he is currently 7k). And yeah this tournament is very exhausting and scary, but hey the more we get tired the more we get used to it right ? Take advantage of today's double CP points thanks to one of your strongest points: submitting screenshots. I'll do my best to unleash a resistance against all competitors B)

Well, you use one of the same strategies I usually do: taking a break after reaching italics. That seems to take way too long but then it's easier to keep posting afterwards because most of the activity I've seen occurs at nighttime when users are done working or just being busy.

The yellow jersey is very difficult to get without posting a review, guide, or a really long thread about your vacation to Florida. I think you'll be proven right about adapting to our tiredness after a while.

Pacman+Mariofan : That's true indeed! If it were just us along with the top users competing, then it wouldn't be a very fun tournament. Reminds me of one of the past tdvs the teams Staff vs Non Staff. It was so unfair back then that I stopped competing and gave up at the end

All this activity just warms the little cockles of my nnon-existant heart. I think I might actually participate for once. At least for a few days.

greenluigi : Yeah, there needs to be a variety of competitors. Or else the same competitors would tire out and run out of places to post. I remember that staff vs non-staff team competition. Back then I was a non-staff so I wasn't too happy but I tried to stay positive.

It seems there won't be a team competition this time but I'm fine with that. Right now the focus is on activity level

Pacman+Mariofan : You have to remember that there isn't as much activity as there used to be, so I don't have as many places to post. I don't have much of a chance to compete for the rainbow banner I feel, because I don't feel like doing all the little CP things every day. I'm in college and taking a summer course in Spanish ( hate it, by the way) . I got 2 dogs. I got video games I'm trying to play because I have such a backlog of games, I have way too many to constitute getting more this holiday season, and right now, there's about 10 that I want. 

I guess it just comes down to what level of competitiveness there is, and how bored and motivated I am to actually want to come and make a bunch of posts every day. 

thing1 : I think the lack of activity is the big block preventing most users from competing who normally would compete. The only way for that to change is for more users to not only compete this month, but post actively in other months. That's why I did post sprees last month.

By the way, I love Spanish! I took 4 years of it, starting in 8th grade and I might take it in college too depending on how well I retain the information this year. For whatever reason, Spanish is very easy for me.

Seeing users become italicized earlier in the day makes me think I'll have to just aim for a top 3 spot in each jersey this time and focus more on CP, since posting is my strength. In order to hold onto this rainbow banner for the week, I'll have to finally become good at the red and green jerseys, something I've never done before.

I hope Pacman is able to pick up the pace today, because like I said earlier, I want to see a new winner.

Well, the start of this TdV hasn't been disappointing at the slightest. Three days with several people beyond 25 posts for Blue isn't something we've seen a lot of times in the last editions.

Also, we see a lot of people winning jerseys and points. Let's hope this stimulates more competition between users for a spot in the overall top 10, and also for each of the available jerseys and banners.

Wow, I completely missed the fact that this was up and running yet again. Looks like I need to get things going as there will be the last week where I won't be able to get many, if any points due to not being online.

And yeah, I know I'm starting a bit late again, by about a few days. But I intend to catch up and try to get as many points as I can until I have to go away. You better believe the Aura Storm is going to come once more.

gamerforlifeforever : Real life comes first and I've had more going on each day, so I doubt I'll be increasing my pace. Plus today I really needed a longer break inbetween competing, so I played Mario Kart Wii and a few other things I usually do. Now that it's a holiday, maybe I'll get more points without trying very hard. But I likely have fireworks to see tonight with a friend so I might have to stop earlier in the day.

I just got a huge scare when looking at the results because I thought I got DQ'd from the red and green jerseys. I'm hoping that it was just the fact that I stopped with 30 minutes left, and others bumped me out. If I was DQ'd, I'm going to shift gears and go for an overall blue or yellow jersey.

For some reason, I attempted to compete for the green jersey yesterday. I guess 2nd place isn't so bad for literally the first time I've ever competed in these. These competitions are tough, man! Is it always this neck-and-neck? Speaking from my attempt at green yesterday. Gotta say good game to gamerforlifeforever for the competition.

Also, does the CP and Viz daily limit affect how users can compete? Members, Trusted Members, Elite etc. have higher daily limits, and while I'm pretty sure the limit doesn't apply for Tour De Vizzed, I'm asking just to make sure.

Congo! : Yes, the daily action limit does effect how users can compete. Staff and above have an unfair advantage when it comes to competing for green. If you're going for a jersey, blue would be your best bet.

Congo! : To add to gamer's post, the green jersey is the hardest and most unfair jersey for that reason. I'm an elite and I still can't come close to what the staff members get each day. Then again, I've always been more of a posting kind of guy.

The red jersey is easier than the green, but there's still the staff advantages.

The yellow jersey isn't too bad but it helps if you make few short posts, and mostly long ones.

The blue jersey, however, is easy to place in if you don't already post a ton. All you have to do is post and keep track of how many posts you make in certain forums (refer to David's first post that explains the rules). Typically, when the competition dies down, you don't even need to make 10 posts in a day to place in the top 5.

gamerforlifeforever : What actually entails in actions? I've noticed things like rating music counts as an action, but things like rating screenshots do not. Is there a list anywhere for them?

Things have changed since the last time I have particpated in a Tour de Vizzed, if my talk with m0ss about the rules revealed anything. 
Can somebody shoot me a message about what all has changed? Apparently, the 50% rule for words and posts in the last hour are no longer enforced, even though in the OP it says they are.
