Let's rename the entire thread to "Nice guys: I feel like women owe me because I did something nice for them"

Maguc : It's not so much of an entitlement thing as much as they shouldn't be snotty, dismissive or vain. The whole taking offense to having the door held open for you conversation had more to do with the radical man haters that you yourself have stated on multiple occasions that you have a strong disliking of. I don't agree with forcing roles on people based on their sex, and I'm more socially moderate than I am conservative, but it is a valid point that biology plays a large part. It's not all just a social construct. I will say that not everyone is geared towards the roles they're appropriated. My neighbor is the sorriest excuse for a mother that I've ever seen in my life. She barely qualifies as a human being or a person, let alone a woman.

The other side of the extreme that takes a handful of women and amplifies their thoughts and opinions so it seems that every single girl in the world is like that. The only way Biology is related is for humans to try and pass off their genetic material and preserve their DNA, and even that doesn't play a factor to what's being discussed here.

A big thing in this thread is to hate on feminists. Are there extremist feminists who want superiority and oppression against males? Of course there is. But that margin is extremely small. Just like with everything on the internet however, it gets exaggerated to a point where everyone believes that every single feminists on the planet believes in that view point, when only around 1-2% of the feminist population actually does.

Like it or not, the whole "Men have to protect women" type of thinking comes from a "Women are weaker, therefore men have to protect them" society we have built for millions of years now. It's ridiculous. I know you are being kind, but thinking that people, especially women, have to give you a medal for not acting like an inconsiderate jerk all the time is also preposterous.

Another thing I've notice is that you people have a very sexist way of thinking, even if you have good intentions. For example, "Women are designed to be more sympathetic!". That's a social construct. Men and Women have the same range of emotions, same intensity. The difference is that society has been built on the concept of "Women can express their emotions, but men have to be stone walls without feelings". Once again, a stereotype.

Women and men are psychologically different. First and foremost, the brain runs many more left/right connections than the male brain. This makes them better at intuitive thinking, and also makes their emotions more vivid. Thanks to this construct, they naturally notice when another person is down or needs assurance, in places a guy might be oblivious. Because they're naturally more sympathetic, they can hold back men in a moment of anger, and act as a good second counsel throwing mercy into the mix where otherwise, anger may rule.

This insightfulness is incredibly valuable in the healing of a society. It's also one reason that they make good mothers.

They even process language in both hemispheres of the brain as opposed to one, adding to their communication abilities.

This very much does play a part in what's being discussed here. Biology, Nature, and Science make up the cornerstones of healthy human living. Just because people think it's "liberating" to become something you're against. And just because they teach to attack your identity, does not mean that it will bring about happiness.

In Men and women's olympic statistics, women fall behind men by an average of about 10% across almost all sports. Also when entering puberty, a man's body will begin to set aside materials to build muscle, while a female body will set nutrients aside to finish reproductive equipment.

It's not really a social construct on it's own at all. . . in fact, it's a scientific and a biological construct. The reason you see several societies choosing to do it this way across the world is simply because it's the best way. Like a lot of other things societies have in common. Such as rules against stealing, adultery, ect. Not that society is always right just because many societies do it.

While true that people are different, and certainly don't all fall into perfect slots. There is a general construct we face withing ourselves, and it's determined by one chromosome. That's the fact of it. If you want to attack women for their special talents and try to put us in a box saying men and women are basically the same, then go right ahead. I think everyone appreciates it when you go around saying insulting and illogical stuff like that.

Would you stop being so hateful towards the people who are participating here? We like being who we really are and claiming our real identity thank you very much.

(I'm an only child and my parents won't have anymore kids), and I just always found it kinda sad when family lines die off for some reason.

Heh, funny. Did you know that in the Bible, there were specific laws made just to ensure that a family line never dies off? If a man got married, he was free from being drafted for an entire year. If a man got married, but then died before he even had children, his brother would actually marry his sister, and have a child with her. Then that child would carry on his father's name! It's one of the few cases where taking a second wife happened too.

I will admit, that may sound strange, but I guess everything about middle eastern culture can sound that way at first. When a family line dies off, I'm not sure why this is so bad in itself, but I've never given it much thought. Maybe my mind has been slightly corrupted. I'm glad you feel that way though, since it seems to be the proper way to feel about it. What with the commands the Bible has just to avoid it an all. :3
