I had to post up this thread idea I needed to. So basically to explain what I am on about its about having off days. Like for instance you feel bored for some reason, and not sure what to do. Then feel more bored when thinking of what to do while waiting for something to, and then feel annoyed. Do you get this feeling of when it happens? You don't need to say what days it is since it can come at you at any time. You know when it happens because you will feel it. Everyone has had an off day of feeling of not sure of what to do, and feel annoyed as well to do with something. I just would like to know if you get these off day feels and if you do. What do you usually do about them? For me I would probably sleep it off until I feel better. And back to normal. '-'

There have been times where I've been having an off day while I've been at work. Usually when I get into a situation like that, I try to think of something funny that I either saw on TV or on youtube or something like that. Sometimes I get in a better mood, and sometimes it doesn't help. When that happens, the only time I feel better is when I get to go home.

Every Monday. Without exception

I have those from time to time. They're pretty annoying, and prevents me from doing something productive that day. Granted, I'm usually a procrastinator anyways, but even when I want to do something I just can't get the motivation to do so those days DX.

What usually ends up happening is that I decide to YT binge that day, and try to enjoy myself at least a bit xp.

gamerforlifeforever : Yeah I think it would mostly happen to people those that are at work. So I can understand that. Its always good to try, and think of something funny to keep you in a better mood. But, alas its not that easy so people can only do the best they can until they are back home, and get their mood back to normal.

ZeeTee : Yeah it really is annoying when it happens, and then when you want the motivation to come back it wouldn't for a while. So you really have to try, and get something on to get you going as in happy mode wise. XD

I totally do. I either get bored of doing the same things over and over or get bored for having nothing else to do. And well, I do get annoyed when mom wakes me up wanting to talk about things that are out of place, even though that lasts for a short while.

What I normally do is watch videos, eat something, listen to music, watch TV or simply play videogames. Anything that can get my mind to un-focus from being bored or annoyed at something is welcome, even if it is an improvised night out with my friends (which technically should last more than any other "method" I've listed). They work more or less, but when I have a really off day nothing takes me out of it but sleeping into the next day and turn the page.

EX Palen : Yeah that's hard to come by....mums right? They can annoy you when you don't want them too....its good to try, and do that I do the same as well to try my best I try do anything to make myself to get rid of it. But, then I feel it always overcomes things, and I would probably wouldn't feel happy until the next day comes. Having that off day feel is something you really don't want to have when it comes at you. '-'

I'm actually having one of those days right now.

I just can't seem to bring my self to find joy in any thing I'm doing, nor have any motivation to keep posting, gaining CP. I'm sure being burnt out has a little some thing to do with it, but it's not quite the same. Even things out side of Vizzed I can't seem to enjoy right now, or think of any thing to do to keep my self preoccupied. I'm basically just sitting here and waiting for time to pass. If I could go to sleep I would, but I already slept way too much last night for that to be possible.

Generally on days like this I would just play one of my favorite videos games, since time seems to pass as quickly as possible that way ( or at least my perception of time, if you want to be technical about it ). I might try to sleep if I think there's a chance I could, but it generally takes so much time to actually pass out, or is so hard to fall asleep in general, I don't go about it this way very often. Some times I'll take my dog for a walk just to clear my head, but in the summer it's too hot for her most of the time since she has really thick black fur. And then there's days like today where I just suck it up and keep doing what it is I want and / or need to until the feeling finally passes

Mynamescox44 : Its sad really how it can come out of the blue. Then we do what we can to keep our motivation up, and running. Its a natural thing, that I have come to learn people will have off days when they don't like it. All we can do in a way is make the best of the situation, and do what we can to do things that we enjoy doing.

When you talk about feeling "off," do you mean that you feel that no matter what you do, you can't seem to complete something properly, or something just feels wrong about everything for an entire day (or even days)? If so, then I sometimes have that "off" feeling, particularly when I feel like I'm forgetting something very important... but in the future. oO;; Times like those, I do my best to complete what I need to in life, but I'll stay on guard for the entire time and watch carefully for anything weird that might happen.

I've had many days like that, probably most of last week. It can be a bit frustrating, but then you have that one day that everything goes to plan. This weekend was kinda that way, although I didn't sleep much, and was busy, even as tired as I was, and currently am now, I couldn't complain with how things weren't off.

The best thing to do, at least from my perspective is to keep going, and do what you can to not have those off days.

Yuna1000 : The second one yuna. Its this one *something just feels wrong about everything for an entire day (or even days)* I'm sorry that I didn't explain properly enough details in my thread. I've never had that before like having an off feel of forgetting something important before. I might have to be honest I am not too sure. @.@

HeavyMetalGamer : Yeah people do try but as said its not that easy not unless something unexpectedly happens. When I mean that in a very good way like have something really good happen. Sorry to hear you had that its the last thing anyone want. :/

I have off days in different areas. Whether that be my concentration or focus, or my performance in athletics and stuff. It could even be manners and stuff. Sometimes, when I get into a bad mood, I don't necessarily always use my best judgement and manners. I typically have an off day for one of these things every few days or so, but when everything goes wrong, that happens maybe once a month or two. Wish it happened less, but I guess it's just human nature.

Oh, okay. Thank you very much for clarifying it. lol Ah, no worries, the two actually go hand in hand for me... ^^0 When I start feeling sort of agitated with that feeling of something being terribly wrong, I know I'm usually/probably forgetting something in the future (or someone's changed the Matrix on me while I wasn't looking oO;; if that makes any sense) so then I start messing things up. Now that I'm older though, I've figured out that there is a pattern to how it happens for me, and the first step is I mess up on something I usually wouldn't, such as accidentally breaking a plate while washing dishes, or forgetting to bring something to a meeting. Sometimes, something out of my control happens (for instance, a traffic accident happens right in front of me D= and threatens to make me late to wherever I'm going), and if I don't manage to recognize it as a warning sign, bad stuff may start to happen. Pretty much, if I don't begin to watch everything more closely, there's a possibility that I might actually get physically hurt sometimes (usually, it's just a few cuts and bruises although I still get worried because that accident in front of me could have involved me if I'd left the house earlier). oO I'm by no means a clumsy person in real life, and I rarely ever get scratched up, so I do take things like this quite seriously when they happen. ^^0 Knowing how it happens and staying on guard is the only way I know of for now to fight against it.

A long time ago, I came up with a crazy(?) theory (it works for me though) which basically says that we are all either "on time" or "off time." When we are "on time," everything goes smoothly no matter what we do, and when we are "off time," nothing will go as planned. Whether or not we are actually on time to a meeting or something doesn't matter either, because as long as you're within that period of "off time," bad things will continue to happen, or at least keep you from achieving success in whatever it is you're trying to accomplish. During "off times," if you're trying to sell a house, no one is going to be interested in your property even if every other property around you is getting their "For Sale" signs removed. Change the person that's selling the property to someone who is "on time" though and they'll get some calls within a few days. I don't know what makes the "on time" and "off times" appear, but I've learned to recognize when I happen to be in one of those times, and when someone else might be, too. Thus, I'll plan accordingly and refrain from taking unnecessary risks like walking in the dark alone (even for short distances) when it's "off time" for me. For "on times," I'll be less concerned about my surroundings because stuff out of the ordinary usually doesn't happen, and if strange stuff does happen, usually, someone will be there to help me out of my predicaments if I can't handle the situations alone (I'll always count my blessings and never take those guardian angels for granted though... yeah, I really do think they're guardian angels lol). I guess one can sort of think of my type of "on time" as "when it feels like the stars are aligned for good things to happen to you" (I'm not trying to describe something mystical though). What I'm talking about is also not the same "on time" and "off time" that most psychology books mention either (psychology books mention social clocks and also tend to include something called "out of time").

What I'm talking about is also not the same "on time" and "off time" that most psychology books mention either (psychology books mention social clocks and also tend to include something called "out of time").

Yeah, I do every once in a while. Some days, I wake up, and for some reason, I'm very sad.

I don't feel worth anything. I know what I should do, and what I have to do. I don't feel like I have the right to work on my projects, I don't feel like I have the right to make use of my time. I don't feel alright. I feel like I'm. . . a passive existing object without a purpose.

I don't feel loved to a large degree. . . even though I know I am. And. . . on those days, if I reach out to my family in attempt to feel love. . . I feel guilty because my projects did not get done. It feels most like on these days. . . that they shouldn't be normal. It feels like something new and random needs to intervene. It feels like the very purpose of that day is to feel guilty, or be surprised by something crazy to give that day meaning.

Does this describe what you are talking about Eni?

I know that I am doomed to just. . . feel lonely at times. I mean, hey, I'm not married. I'm certain the fact that my sex drive technically isn't satisfied is going to have something to do with it too. That feeling can only be ignored at best, and you have to do what you can.

I find wasting the day having a really in depth conversation with someone can really, really help. It's like that lack of value is replaced by giving one person a larger portion of your time just to exchange information.

Dang it, I've always hated it, but you've described me for most of my teenage life. If things are "off time" I can't seem to get anything done. I feel incomplete, nonexistant, and worse, sometimes I feel nothing matters. Like at all.

To lose the feeling of meaning something or just have that dark cloud of. . . things not being right? Over you head all the time? It's despairing. I do feel like I have to suddenly be much more cautions and wait things out. It's odd. I don't hold much stock in feelings, or even the Holy Spirit, but I cannot deny that there were times when such things seemed amazingly spot on. I wonder if it's something spiritual you've mentioned. . . or just completely in our minds. On those days I am filled with fear. Other times I refrain from doing things that I know I should simply because that time (I feel) will ultimately fall worthless. The effort into some of my sprite making work for example, I feel as if I'm not MEANT to work on it. Therefore, any work that I try to do will fall short and only end up being scrapped.

However, those who wait for a sign, or wait for the right feeling will probably end up waiting forever, so that's the part where I put on the helmet and get back to work. It's why I wrote a book while I waited for my programmer to learn more at school. And boy. . . when we got back together, we both had learned a lot for making that PC game together. Him in. . . programming, and me in storymaking. And pixel art. And music making, since I had spent the last six months learning just to use the tool.

I have to ask though. . . is there a good reason that we feel like this? Is it common? The signs of a problem? Is it spiritual? God help us. . . it seems so odd and trivial, yet it feels like it could derail everything.

Is there a reason for all this that I'm missing?

Sword legion : Yes, yes it does. But, seeing your post makes me a little sad though.....don't let it get to you ok? Its ok to be sad, but don't go to the point you go in so deep that you can't get yourself out from. I've been there, and I don't want you jumping into that hole. When I have my off days I feel pretty much lazy, and not wanting to do anything or I would feel weird for some reason. But, I guess its human nature of things right? Its a thing sadly we can not prevent and have to live with it. So when it comes around we make sure in the most possible way to make ourselves feel more better.

Today is kind of an off day... long story short, I woke up in a bad mood, and then the Sox game got postponed. Without something very specific happening, it means there will be no more Red Sox baseball until April.

With so much homework to do, I was looking forward to it.

legacyme3 : Oh wow.....I'm sorry to hear about that, anything can go wrong on an off day. When one thing happen another thing double on top of that, happens which would be far more worse....I hope things get better for you in time :/

Every day is an off day, a struggle to survive in the difficult world that we live in. Be it emotional, psychological or physical challenges that I struggle to overcome, they pretty much bar me from any sort of accomplishment or motivation. It's more rare to have on days for me than off days.

But in the end, it's not like the off days matter, since there's always tomorrow, even if the same grim situation presents itself that day as well. There's always a chance it won't be that way

yoshirulez! : hmm....I'm not too sure on how to reply back with what you said, but I will try too. There are those and there are others who would feel the same way as you youshi with what you do everyday, and how you do things as well. Its definitely a struggle to live since its a big world out there. I guess the best thing is to live fore every moment that you have, even whatever comes your way that might drag you down for one reason or the other.
