Wow, I'm pretty much the opposite of everyone in this thread. I did not come here looking for ROMs, and in fact, I've probably spent less than a single hour of combined time in the RGR in the four and a half years since I registered. No, I came here when I noticed a bug in Sonic Generations and was wondering if anyone had found a workaround for it. I didn't, but I didn't find other people talking about it. On a forum.

Now, for those of you who don't know, I am a huge forum whore. When I was a teenager I would literally spend twenty hours a day in forums and IRC. I. Love. Forums. But in 2012, forums were hard to come by. In fact, I thought they were all but extinguished. Just a few dusty old tomes full of green dust with nothing but friends talking to each other. I thought the age of the forum was dead. But here one was, active in 2012. And what is this? It couldn't be... It looks like it's running Acmlm. But that's impossible, there haven't been Acmlmboards in years. But sure enough, it was. You know what I love more than forums? Forums based on Acmlmboard. Yeah. Double check, I signed up that day, and posted all weekend. I was in heaven. An active forum. I couldn't believe it.

That's why I believed in this place. That's why I still come around from time to time. I just love forums. It's harder as an adult, but it's still one of my guilty pleasures.

(PS If anyone knows of other active forums just give me a hoot)

Lazlo Falconi : Lazily! Sorry I mean lazlo great to see you still alive! Wow your the first ever to post on this. I'm not much of a forum person but, I did like what you had to say in your post since it was different. I was kind of hoping someone would say something different to do with this. I can see why you enjoy forums a lot your in most places to do with that, and not only on vizzed. Thank you for taking the time to post this, and say something not a lot of people would know about. Hope all is well with you.

My first impression? Well, I don't really know but it is the first site I've ever registered and to stay on ever since I got my first computer. I came across this while I was trying to figure out how to set up an gba emulator, and I typed in something related to playing pokemon online. I found this and I thought the only way to find such information was to download the plugin. After finding out that I was being blocked by couple features because I was the guest, I signed up to remove that kind of restriction. Didn't even bothered posting in forum, but I hanged out a lot in the chatroom. Some users encouraged me to start posting and so, I did. Came to love with Vizzed <3

Vizzed Ghostblood : I see lol so you've always been a wiz in that area. I knew it! Anyways its great to seen you have like come so far on the site. And still pretty much active too not a lot, but to the amount that I can see when you post sometimes on the board. It always great to have you around. I'm not surprised you come to love vizzed. I mean most members would when being introduced to places, that they don't really go in for. I can't remember if I was a guest first I might had been sadly I can't remember, that far back.

Enii, exactly as you said, back when my NES finally decided to not work anymore, I still and will always "long to play my childhood games." However, when I was a newbie, I didn't really post that much at all. In fact, I don't think I started posting until my 2nd year on Vizzed. But since I have, I've become a Trusted Member and was even on staff for a few months. This site has undoubtedly grown on me since day 1.

But since my NES died, I was simply searching on Google for something along the lines of "NES games online" and I think Vizzed was either the 2nd or 3rd link that showed up. I clicked on it and it brought me to this site, of course, and I have been here ever since, and I will be here until its not here anymore lol

This is and always will be an awesome site and I'm glad I found it! And an unexpected pleasantry about it is the wonderful people I've met on here from the US, Canada, and Europe. I'm pleased to have met everyone that I have

MattyIce : I see.....I'm glad you found vizzed and being able to play the games that you used too before. Yeah I can agree this will always be an awesome site for people who come to play games in general, post, chat or to meet new people. This site has done other among things as well. XD

We often look back at how far we have come, and how we journeyed on vizzed for however long we stay for.

Eniitan : Oh, believe me, I'm still active on daily based. I just don't post Usually because there's not a lot of interesting threads for me to post in. This one just caught my eyes so I figured that I should check it out and all.

I first thought "Wow, so many games I'd like to play! Where do I begin?". Afterwards, i saw the forums, and those became my life here.

Vizzed Ghostblood : Yeah I normally see you lurking around lol. You don't post not unless you see a thread you like which would catch your interest. That I very much know about already. XD

Ultrajeff : I see, that's what happens so many choices people think, and which game to start off with. Which would be another hard thing to think on. Glad to know things worked out for you in a way to do with that.

You see, Eni, i joined in 2010,and didn't really have any games from my past that i wanted to play, i just thought it was really cool that you could play so many retro games with just 1 plugin, and i did just that for some time. It took me a long while to introduce myself and become an active part of the community, since i'm really shy, and even longer to become a decent one, but i haven't really regretted anything since finding this place.

D1998 : Sorry for the last reply.....had things to do. I see thank you for taking the time to explain this since. everyone's experience is very much different and I like to hear of if some got onto the board first before going to the rgr. Nice to hear about your experience, and don't worry not all people are first in hand confident, by introducing themselves since its not an easy step to take. It will take time as you said to open yourself to become part of the community.

Well, I`m newbie here, so my first impression very fresh. I came here not for games themselves, but in search for people I can play those games with, that`s why after quite a search, opening this site and checking games and play modes it was like "Finally (a sigh of relief), something suitable".

After that part of my mission was done, I`m off to check the forum and... "What a mess!", I thought. All mixed up in one big pile, I hardly found the rules! , too dark background (for my eyes at least, I`m used to light backs, white mostly), couldn't find some features and not sure if they even exist here... It`s fourth day already and I`m still confused. Have some questions, but can`t find the answers, even threads, where those answers might possibly be. Well, maybe I`ll get used to it. With time.

So, that`s my first impression for you (:

Amitaliri : Well welcome to the board! I can see its been a mess for you! If you are having trouble looking for the rules I suggest asking any of the regular members you see or a staff. I am sure they will be more than happy to help you. I find your post a bit funny not in a bad way....but, how you expressed your days on vizzed so far. But, are you are liking the site so far though? And enjoying it too? I am happy you feel this is a great thread as well. Its always here for those who want to share their experience like you have. ^-^
