I'm sure most people have, but have you ever played any card games? If you have, which one is your favorite to play? If you haven't, are there any that you would like to try someday?

I have played UNO, Five Crowns, Skip Bo, The Great Dalmuti, and Hearts. My favorite is UNO since it's very simple but it can be challenging to plan my strategy at times.

Edit: Online card games or electronic card games in general also count.

Edit: Trading card games count too.

Pacman+Mariofan : Aside for regular playing cards, for whihc I love all kinds of games like I declare war, Crazy 8's, and a bunch of others, I love playing UNO, though I am probably really bad at it.

I also really love Solitaire based games, I could play those all the time.

I do need to get into other trading/battling cards though such as Pokemon/Yugioh.

zanderlex : Honestly I think UNO can depend on luck sometimes. I've only been bad at it when I don't draw the cards I need to put down. I've played Solitaire and Spider Solitaire before, I prefer Spider Solitaire but both aren't as interesting to me as most of the other card games I mentioned.

It's really not about skill like other games, it's just like Blackjack, it's mainly all luck because even though there's a set pattern, of who gets what, and the order of the deck, whatever you do changes everything, but it's all based on the cards you deal, and what the cards other people deal. There's really no such thing as a good or bad card in UNO, it's not like I Declare War, where one card is more powerful than another, all based on what you get lol.

Some of my personal favorites are UNO, Klondike Solitaire, Five Card Draw and Texas Hold 'em. UNO is a great party game bec ause of it's simplicity and unpredictability. Klondike is a good game if you just need to kill some time for a little while, and I've always loved Poker. I don't really consider it gambling because it relies more on skill than anything else. Though, I've never won money because I've always felt bad taking things I didn't earn.

Pacman+Mariofan : let's not forget that if you have a card that nobody else has, you would ever win because there would never be a match. Let's say you are playing against one person, and you have a Green 6. You only need to put down that one card to win, yet the other guy has like 10 cards and he never puts down a green or a 6, and then you need to keep picking up. Even though you were so close to winning, it's possible that the other guy could put down card after card while you are struggling to put down that ONE card.

I like Blackjack, a bit of of poker, and it's a little silly but go fish is really fun.

Card games are very popular in Spain, so I'm quite used to play them. But aside from popular games, I've also played other games, both in real life and through the internet.

Just like many here, UNO was a big thing in my childhood, but I've later developed into CCG/TCG, specially into Yu-Gi-Oh!, to the point I tried like +5 online games revolving around it. I've also peeked into Magic: The Gathering, and other online games like Ederon or Urban Rivals.

And well, from time to time, some Hold'Em or Blackjack doesn't hurt anybody either

Pacman+Mariofan : for real card games the only ones I remember playing are crazy 8 and mille borne my dad even showed me how to play crib many years ago but I found that game to be too long to finish  for the online card games I have played hearts,war and several different versions of solitaire with my favorite ones being spider solitaire,golf and pyramid
